All their words are lies, their acts destructive.
They are the stealers of dreams
The crushers of hope
All we can do is make new dreams and inspire hope. Will you help me?
Be positive
Be creative
Be constructive
Be kind
A friend suggested it’s sign of my age that I watch Gardener’s World instead of TOTP.
But I’d watch TOTP if it was still on. Or The Tube. Or The Old Grey Whistle Test. Wouldn’t you? Is @BBCLater the only programme on TV to introduce current artists?

I’ve just been reading through all the @prize_novel feedback on my first chapters. Thank you to the Cheshire Prize readers for your encouraging and constructive comments. 😁

Anyone else find that the 300-word synopsis is much more difficult to write than any chapter of 3,000 words?
Feel like my eyeballs are popping out.

Pls RT, as there is a real danger that lives could be put at serious risk if vulnerable people don't know about this, and their secret phone lifeline goes off 🙏🏻

There are a few intriguing questions asked tonight on #AI and the future of art. Ai Wei Wei talks about his thoughts on AI, and its ability -- or inability -- to capture a sense of creativity and humanity.

Am paraphrasing, but thank you #AiWeiwei for this truism: ‘by its very nature and name, AI is artificial and so can’t ever have humanity’.
To think that humans should choose art generated by machines over art created by humans is fairly abhorrent to me.

Inspired by day @WritersCentre and by @JDawsonwriter, I’m happy to be writing. It’s a joy to have a different world to escape; a world that I created and am creating still. And one day will have the pleasure of sharing with readers.

We are thrilled by the decision in the Internet Archive/Open Library lawsuit. As we have long argued, scanning & lending books w/out permission or compensation is NOT fair use—it is theft & it devalues authors’ works.
