'It has to end sometime...' 3 years ago today we were celebrating the return of #TheXFiles with all of you, but nothing lasts forever. We're saying good bye as a website today. Read what that means and take a trip down memory lane with us. bit.ly/2FW1eZK
Only a few more days to get your hands on Volumes 1 and 3 of Mark Snow's #TheXFiles soundtracks from LaLaLand Records facebook.com/lalalandrecords…
So Cal Philes, if you're heading to Burbank to check out houses decked out for Halloween, be sure to stop by the haunt at 928 N Maple to say hi to some spooky old friends. #TheXFiles

Another loss. Mark Snow’s legacy will forever be connected to his iconic work on “The X-Files,” but he also crafted memorable music for many other series.
I chatted with him at length several times about our approaches to work and life. He was always charming and friendly.❤️
Mark Snow, the veteran television composer who turned "The X-Files" theme into an unlikely chart hit in the 1990s, died at 3:30 a.m. Friday at his home in Connecticut. He was 78. bit.ly/4eF5co6

When I met Mark Snow at X-Fest, he asked “No one has signed the UFO yet, can I sign there?” I said “Of course, the music was a big part of the show.” Him “Are you sure?” Me: “Yes!” Then he wrote out the opening notes to #TheXFiles 🫡
We're absolutely heartbroken to share composer Mark Snow has died at age 78. Mark's soundtracks for The X-Files were a character themselves, shaping the mood and the heart of the series. He was a delight to know and will be truly missed. variety.com/2025/artisans/ne…
From X-Fest in 2019, watch Mark's panel where he shared thoughts about his music, told the story of presenting that famous theme to FOX execs, and answered fan questions youtu.be/par0jfprcKo?si=E6tH…
In 2013, Mark Snow submitted this lovely note to our 20th anniversary roundup for the fans of #TheXFiles & it feels so poignant to read today. "My love for you will never die, even after I'm gone. I know I'll be hearing the magic whistling rising upward!" xfiles.news/index.php/news/l…
We know this was a very hard decision, shout out to Phile Fest organizers for an amazing event in 2023 and their efforts for the fandom.
We are heartbroken to have to share this announcement. Expect to receive refunds no later than August 3rd. If you have any particular questions, email [email protected]
Farewell for now.
