As sophomore forward Madison Francis enters her second year in Starkville, she sets the stage as one of the most disruptive defensive architects and stat-stuffing talents in the SEC. Fresh off an impressive freshman campaign that earned her spots on the SEC All-Defensive and All-Freshman teams alongside a Naismith Defensive Player of the Year watch list nod, Francis paced the Bulldogs by averaging 13.2 points, 7.4 rebounds, 2.8 blocks, and 1.5 steals over 29.4 minutes per contest. Her rim protection was truly historic, leading the nation with 88 total blocks while swatting six or more shots on four separate occasions, complemented by an explosive offensive game highlighted by a 30-point, 10-rebound performance against Alabama State. Armed with exceptional positional length, lockdown versatility, and proven USA Basketball gold-medal pedigree, Francis returns ready to anchor Sam Purcell’s lineup as an elite two-way cornerstone. 🐾🏀 #HailState #ncaaw #SECWBB #WBB

Started tapping into #ESTFallShowcase Brockport film last night. First thought. Want forwards? Go west(ern New York), young coach. Or at least in that direction. Great 3x3 battles with 6’4” 2028 @sophia_frayne15 (blue) & 6’1” 2029 @AliciaWood40 (black). Sophia is an elite rim protector showing rapid offensive development, from footwork & finishing to comfort attacking out of face-ups & budding stretch game (hit a couple college threes in opening 3x3). Alicia’s game is rooted in fundamentals, has uniquely soft touch with either hand & smooth shooting stroke, and is a force when she embraces & initiates the physical element around the rim. Both are scholarship offered and both are on a D1 🏀 trajectory. Post play is far from dead. Two of the 585’s best 📝
