Yesterday these students produced academic posters showing their research findings. @esrfsynchrotron @XMaSBeam #WomenInSTEM @WarwickPhysics
Enormous thanks to @esrfsynchrotron synchrotron@ schools program and @XMaSBeam for a fabulous day doing science experiments in Grenoble
Lunchtime offers a chance for the students to sit with some of the inspirational female scientists here at ESRF and ask any questions they have about their careers and research. #WomenInSTEM #inspirational #Physics
Love how Leonardo da Vinci understood the scattering of light that causes the sky to be blue and was careful to capture this in his paintings! Also love how you can be a physicist and an artist! @XMaSBeam @esrfsynchrotron @WarwickPhysics
Lead white paint is of particular interest. It is made by exposing metallic lead to acetic acid and exposing it to the heat and carbon dioxide from horse manure! The corrosion on the lead is then crushed to turn to paint. @XMaSBeam @esrfsynchrotron @WarwickPhysics
