Jared Bednar on the role of a coach in motivating his team: “If I have to go into the room and motivate our team or an individual all the time, then they shouldn't be here. They're in the wrong league.” More ⬇️

A nice interview with Brock Nelson about the Avs record so far: “It's not like we're searching for something that we don't know. We saw it last year and we've seen it this year and everyone's confident in the group that we have to go out there and do it.”

I got an $11.75m contract, but imma complain about someone else's salary - that isn't accurate anyway. westword.com/news/denver-nug… Imagine playing a sport for a living and complaining about the pay of someone who wears a costume for a living

Nothing humbles you faster than realizing your team's mascot makes more than your rookie contract. Rocky makes ~$600k a year doing backward half-court shots. I was on a two-way deal bringing home the exact same base salary. After taxes and fees, I’m pretty sure the mountain lion had me beat.

It's actually pain-staking. Originating from the phrase "to the pain" In a duel to the pain, you have a massive stake in not losing. Therefore pain-staking. Not to correct the dictionary but clearly they should watch The Princess Bride.

The former. It's the plural of 'pain' + 'taking.'

The Avs look like they're on the second game of a back to back. Nashville dominating absolutely everything. I like Kelly fighting since Struble wouldn't drop the gloves with Landy. Glad Lehky scored. I don't like anything else.

This is not really doing that. I know this team is better than this. C'mon

I really try to stay positive on things. This team is not giving me a lot of positives when on the road. Let's turn that around in the second.
