Many Airbnb hosts lost the plot when they started viewing hospitality as passive income. You maximize profits by maximizing the customer experience. Charging cleaning fees while expecting guests to clean is wild. A lot of hosts act like they’re doing customers a favor, forgetting they’re the ones with mortgages that depend on those very customers.
its just bonkers the new policy @airbnb is trying to put in place. Putting the dishes in the dishwasher, taking out the trash, pulling the sheets off the bed....they are just standard things any normal person would do when staying at a house. Why wouldn't a host be allowed to say that?

Because political affiliation became intertwined with racial identity. We’ve reached a point where questioning a political party can be interpreted as betraying your race.
As Black people why are we so pressed to be Democrats instead of being Independent?

I tell my dad this all the time. His first date with my mom was at Arby’s in the mid 80s, and somehow he got a second date and eventually a wife and family. That would never happen in today’s dating culture.
I’m so glad my parents didn’t meet in this era. My pops said he pulled my mom by writing her a poem.. gang you would’ve been a photo dump cover😭✌️

It feels like the West has been at war with reality for a few decades now. So many social problems are downstream of masses of people pretending that reality isn't real. Comforting lies take precedence over uncomfortable realities. People want to feel good, not do good.

The beauty of content like this is that it does your homework for you. If a woman you’re interested is entertained or subscribes to this thinking, you’ve learned something valuable before investing your time. The quicker someone reveals their values, the better. Pay attention.
"Call Her Daddy" host Alex Cooper & actress Sophia Bush: if a woman is questioning whether she can do better than her current husband, "the answer is always yes." "This idea that it's too late or you're too old, or who are you to want more, that's patriarchy. That is crazy."

instagram has brainwashed an entire generation into thinking expensive international trips are a life goal, even when they don’t even own a house. the west convinced you to fly thousands of miles, blow your savings, take 200 pictures and call it “finding yourself.” every country has mountains, beaches and pretty streets. western tourism propaganda is working exactly as intended.

FSD alone makes Elon the goat entrepreneur in my opinion, it’s hard to understand how amazing that tech is if you don’t drive a Tesla.

Surround yourself with people who see a flying car and say, "Awesome!" Not people who see a flying car and say, "It's not actually flying" or "I don't see the point." This post is not about cars :)

This is a perfect illustration of how predators operate in everyday life. Whether it’s a business partner, romantic partner, or so called friend, some people will spend months, even years, making you comfortable before revealing their true intentions. They study you, learn your habits, establish trust and gradually eliminate your suspicion. By the time the trap closes, you’ve become so accustomed to their presence that you never even considered the possibility of danger.

Dating is a humiliating ritual for today’s men because dating was always created for women to begin with. Historically men never took women out for dates. The family was involved and would join their daughter with the man. Women created the whole dating culture. It’s why to this day a man will accept a homemade meal and think it’s the best thing in the world while a woman requires a $500 night out on the town and it’s still not good enough for her.🤷🏻‍♀️

This is why I say married men, not all, give the worse dating advice. Most of em speak as though the circumstances that existed when they met their wives still exist today. Social media and dating apps have fundamentally changed the dynamics between men and women. The average woman today has access to more attention, perceived options and often significantly greater expectations and requirements than women of previous generations. Yet these men continue advising young men as though they’re courting women in 1980. What’s even more interesting about this post is that he begins by describing several young women who aren’t being pursued and immediately concludes that something must be wrong with young men. They’re playing too many video games, neglecting their hygiene or simply don’t know how to approach women. Has he considered that these men might not want these women? Has he considered that the women themselves might have unrealistic expectations? Or that the men they’re interested in simply aren’t interested in them? Instead, his solution is for men to invest substantial time, money and effort into women they don’t know, before establishing genuine mutual interest or determining whether these women possess qualities that make them worth pursuing in the first place. The problem with advice like this is that it’s entirely concerned with teaching men how to obtain and keep women, with no consideration given to whether those women are worth obtaining or keeping. And how to know and figure out when a woman is worth pursuing, obtaining and keeping.
Attention Young Men: I am surrounded by 20 year old girls in my life that are smart, capable, hard working and cute. Nobody is dating them. Not sure what the deal is, but I don’t get it. Step 1: Stop playing video games Step 2: Head to great clips and get that lettuce cleaned up Step 3: Hit a shower (when dating hygiene is critical) Step 4: Go clean your car Step 5: Sign up for a yoga class Step 6: Go to the yoga class Step 7: Ask a cute for her phone number at yoga class (yes you can meet girls IRL and not just on the apps - 10/10 the Dirt Dog highly recommends) Step 8: Follow up within 2 days with a phone call and ask them out for this coming weekend Friday or Saturday night. Step 9: IMPORTANT - come up with a good game plane for date night. Get a dinner reservation, get an activity planned. Let them know in advance what you are doing so they can dress appropriately. I know you are gunna roll off the couch and head to date night, but they are not. They are going to stress about what to wear and call at least 6 different people on FaceTime to ask their opinion. Step 10: I highly recommend you bring flowers to the door step. I’m not covering that you go to the doorstep, because if you don’t do that you have no hope here. Women want men to date them. You don’t need to break the bank on flowers. Head to Trader Joe’s. Grab 2 different kinds of flowers. If you don’t know what matches find the closest looking lady to your mom at TJ’s and ask her. Wrap the 2 flowers into 1 bouquet with paper. Bonus Points you can cut open a TJ bag and use that as the paper. Step 11: Be a gentleman on the date. She isn’t there to hear your life story. Ask her about her. For every 1 question you answer, ask her 3. Open Doors, pay for the meal, be polite. Provided you follow most of this guideline you are highly likely to get yourself an opportunity for date number 2. Keep going until you find someone that you can’t imagine not being around all the time. That’s when you have found a good one for you. My life is complete with my wife as my companion. I wish you the same fortune in life. Happy Hunting.

‘For richer or poorer’ was never a prediction of your financial future, nor was it an attempt to speak poverty into existence. It’s a declaration that the commitment transcends all coming circumstances. If you can’t even entertain the possibility of standing beside your spouse through financial hardship, what exactly are you vowing to?
Worse than actual gore

I want people to actually read this entire exchange because it perfectly illustrates something much bigger than dating. Her argument is, “If men are listening to women, why aren’t they using that info to become the men women want?” I explained that a man can listen, understand perfectly, and use that information to become more selective, pursue less, establish different boundaries or simply decide he disagrees. Watch how the standard moves throughout the conversation, Listen -> understand -> apply -> apply it in a way that benefits women. If he hears her, understands her argument, processes the information and reaches a different conclusion, his understanding is treated as defective. This is why so many conversations between men and women go nowhere. “You don’t understand me” often times really means “you understood me, but you didn’t arrive at the conclusion I wanted.” And this is exactly why my original point matters, men are listening. Social media has given men unprecedented access to women openly discussing everything pertaining to dating, sex & relationships. The mistake is assuming that greater understanding of women would automatically make men more accommodating toward women. Sometimes information creates empathy and sometimes it makes you more cautious, less idealistic, more selective and changes who you’re willing to pursue altogether. You cannot demand that men listen to women and then invalidate what they learned because you don’t like what they did with the information. Ironically, the reaction to men changing their behavior may be the strongest evidence that men were listening all along.
Replying to @sexynsikak
If a man told you what men want and you understood him perfectly but decided you weren’t interested in providing it, would that make you a bad listener? Of course not. You listened, you just didn’t comply. Men have the same agency

There was a time when the average man was incredibly naive about women. He had very little access to their private conversations, desires, sexual proclivities, dating strategies or what they really thought about men. The men who understood more were usually the men with extraordinary exposure to women, players, womanizers, pimps, celebrities, wealthy men, etc. but were a tiny percentage of the male population. Most regular men simply didn’t have enough experience to know. Social media changed that forever. Now a 25 year old man with an average job, average income and very little dating experience can gain insight on how women truthfully feel about sex, cheating, marriage, money, dating and what they actually desire. Whether everything he hears is representative is a different question. But he’s being exposed to information that men like him in the past just weren’t aware of. People severely underestimate how much this has changed the dating landscape. The average man did not suddenly become less romantic, he became less naive.

On a flight watching my favorite movie. The older I get, the more I understand why it’s my favorite. One of it’s central ideas is inheritance, but not just inheriting money or a business, but inheriting a name, obligations, relationships, reputation, wisdom and responsibility for what his dad built. Michael initially didn’t want anything to do with his father’s world. But his evolution isn’t framed as becoming a man by disrespecting Vito, defeating him or proving he no longer needs him. He gradually comes to understand his father, learns from him and eventually assumes responsibility for the house his father built. There’s hierarchy between father and son, but also love and respect within that hierarchy. Michael becomes powerful and can still sit across from his aging father and receive his counsel without viewing it as an attack on his independence or manhood. I think this is what’s missing from so much modern storytelling, particularly stories about Black families. Fathers and sons are so often written in opposition to one another. The father becomes someone the son has to challenge, escape, expose or defeat in order to become his own man. It’s one reason shows like Power never resonated with me. Vito also leaves Michael something greater than money. He leaves him social capital, a respected family name, relationships, knowledge, people who owe favors and a position in the world that took Vito’s life to create. That represents an older conception of fatherhood that I think we’ve lost, your life should leave your children standing on higher ground. A son honoring his father doesn’t mean believing his father was flawless. And becoming your own man doesn’t have to mean rejecting everything your father built.
