What these people don't understand is that you need to understand the *exact* same art principles to paint on a real canvas as you do to paint in a digital one. Light, shading, color, values, framing, perspective, anatomy, etc. all these things are universally understood and used between both mediums. An AI promptoid has no idea what makes the art look good. The machines they use don't either. They construct the prompt pixel by pixel, copying the work of those who do understand. Take away the generator, they can't make a damn thing. Take away my tablet, and I could still draw just as well with a piece of charcoal and a sidewalk. They want to be artists so bad, to have the respect that comes with that skill. The title of artist is not given in the images you claim to own. The title of artist defines *you*. The things you learn, the things you know, the things that remain in your brain and you can recall at a moment's notice when needed. I could never draw another piece of artwork ever again, and I would still be more of an artist than a promptoid who generates dozens of images a day. I could draw a masterpiece on a cave wall with berries and bark. You can't make anything if your wifi goes out. We are not the same.
