Big day for transportation equity and our partner, Waymo! 👏
We’re grateful for @GovKathyHochul’s leadership on fully autonomous vehicles in New York state. We’re ready to work with leaders around New York to bring our service and new infrastructure, career opportunities, and investment to the Empire State.

July is Disability Pride Month — a time to honor the experiences, talents, and identities of people with disabilities. At YAI, we’re proud to stand alongside the people we support as they lead meaningful, self-directed lives. 💙

It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of our CEO, Kevin Carey, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Kevin was more than a chief executive; he was a passionate advocate for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and a beloved, dear friend to so many in the YAI community. Since joining YAI in 2016, Kevin’s dedication, compassion, and vision helped shape a stronger, more inclusive future for the people we support.
“Kevin was an extraordinary leader, inspiring us all with his unwavering commitment to YAI in building a far better world” said Jeffery Mordos, Chair of YAI’s Board of Trustees. “He will be sorely missed but his legacy will live on through the many lives he touched.”
Our thoughts are with Kevin’s family, friends, and everyone at YAI.

The US House just passed major cuts to Medicaid which will hurt services for people with disabilities. We cannot allow the Senate to do the same.
There is no Medicaid cut that protects people with disabilities - please take 5 minutes to voice your opposition to Medicaid cuts.
YAI's email tool is a quick and easy way for you to immediately email your Senators to demand that they oppose any and all Medicaid cuts which threaten services for people with disabilities.

Tell Congress NO to any Medicaid cuts. Congress is debating cuts right now! Join YAI in voicing your opposition: yai.org/advocacy.
#HandsOffMedicaid #SaveMedicaid
Grateful to see support from Congressmembers representing YAI programs. But let's be clear: any #MedicaidCuts will harm people with disabilites. States can't absorb these costs. We must oppose all Medicaid cuts - lives depend on it.
