Some pretty interesting developments vis-à-vis Yemen.
Apparently, a Chinese delegation arrived in Sana'a two days ago and departed yesterday, carrying a message to Riyadh calling for negotiations between Ansarallah and Saudi Arabia.
According to reports, Ansarallah has demanded that a South Yemeni representative be included in any potential mediation talks. They have reportedly selected a representative from the separatist Southern Transitional Council (STC) to participate as a mediation partner.
The reports further indicate that Ansarallah and the STC have agreed on a joint list of demands to present to Saudi Arabia:
• The complete withdrawal of Saudi forces from both North and South Yemen.
• The full reopening of all ports and airports across both North and South Yemen.
• The return of the STC leadership to Aden.
• Equal efforts toward war damage compensation and reconstruction in both North and South Yemen.
