trying out the new open telemetery features in #opentofu , excited by what the functionality this can bring automation platforms
Traditionally as an external process you only had access to main plan/apply times but soon you can slice and dice the information like how long each provider installation takes, how long each module fetch takes, how long the actual plan takes and which resource slows down plans
especially when you are experiencing slowdowns in your plan times this information is golden to know how to speed them up

@OpenTofuOrg It's nice to see OpenTofu embraces OCI. They are trying to leverage ORAS to create and manage multi-platform artifacts in OCI registry. This is an interesting use case and proposal from OpenTofu maintainer. github.com/oras-project/oras…
