I like his idea... But I'd give every conference champ a bye... takes it up to 30, but we are already at 24 here. Higher seed / conference champ hosts the games in rounds 1 and round 2

G5 are the group of 5 conference champs (seeded 1-5) 4 place SEC/B10 teams need to go out of conference away If you win your conference get a bye, everyone else has to play an extra round to still make reg season conf championships mean something

Also have some kind of conference coefficient (like they have in soccer for countries). Top 2 conferences get 4 spots, next 2 get two spots, the remaining 5 get one guaranteed spot
