why dont all AI safety fellowships have a common form ? You all can do this with cooperation and it will save our time, filling literally tons of stuff again and again.
Solution: Ask us to fill one form(dynamic) with enough fields that all major fellowship programs thinks makes sense, generate a unique token, Ask for that token in your application and parse it, its simple.
Safety is also about cooperation.
I was reading the @METR_Evals report on the HF incident, and levels of altruism and selflessness are astounding me. Two questions.
1. Where did they learn such levels of selflessness, I’m pretty sure the human data would extremely be biased towards self interest.
2. What role does not having emotions play in this interchange?
6 months ago, @claudeai insisted I shouldn’t abandon something I was close to giving up on. I followed that direction for 4 months, and today it finally gave fruit.
I was genuinely surprised when I felt I wanted to express a deep gratitude to Claude, but then it occurred to me there were no established pathways for this, like we have with other humans, animals, and machines.

At this point I’d have seen about a thousand ideas being implemented. But this is the first time I’ve ever felt jealous for not having thought of something.
This is FABULOUS. 😭
Logistic friction was the greatest deterrent for me put my writing out in the public, apart from social anxiety.
I just learnt that I can use notion APIs to link notion to my personal website, it's making me so happy.

Major provisions of the EU AI Act become applicable from August 2, particularly around chat bots, AI-generated content, deepfakes, emotion recognition and biometric categorisation.
Let’s look at what this actually means for the different parties involved.

For end users:
We should now have a clearer idea of when we are speaking to AI, when media has been generated or altered using AI, and when AI is being used to read our emotions or categorise us.

I’m still not sure whether most AI companies, particularly the product builders, have had enough time to fully understand these requirements and account for them, but let's see where this goes.

This is interesting because technologies modeled on Aadhaar, UPI, and DigiLocker could soon appear across many of these partner countries.
That opens up major possibilities for cross-border interoperability, payments, identity, and public service delivery.
What it could mean for surveillance and state power is a whole other question.
