International oomfs please share and amplify to raise awareness about how UK-based organizations of JK Rowling’s movement are attempting to internationally force a rollback of already barely existent trans rights in India

I was so pissed when I say some black people saying that queer people aren't systemically oppressed only to see that the only opposition i could find was white people queers saying that racism isn't real. I feel like I'm loosing my mind

The author is dead! (Crowd cheers) But the author function lives on (crowd boos) Rather than attributing the text to a single origin point, we as critics must map the complex web of institutions and power relations that constitute "authorship" (crowd yawns, disperses)

i understand this response, but it concedes too much to an idealist notion of "gender abolition." in fact the only way gender can really be "abolished" is via universalizing the biotechnology required for personal autonomy over the gendered body, and this /can/ surpass dysphoria.
dysphoria will still exist even when gender is abolished.

that is, responding to "dysphoria will not exist after the social meaning of biology is obliterated even if the latter is left intact" with "biological dysphoria will still exist" takes at face value the sundering of "society" and "biology", which no transfeminist should accept.

in case you didn't know a trans woman was denied care for cancer in the UK because they refused to put her on either sex segregated ward (mens or womans). she died because of this. 16 days without treatment and she died. this new guidance has killed and will kill trans people

Not a fully coherent thought yet, but I think one of the reasons the wizard book stuff's such an issue is that the general decline of the UK's cultural power means they don't have another big series any more lol. A lot of eggs are in that basket.

(QTing but not hating because I wanna add more) I think there’s actually plenty of messaging contained in AI art. Not just in what the prompter decides on, but in the way it reflects pretty much every single form of bigotry, dominant political ideology, and bias unintentionally.

I mostly get what you're saying but isn't this like trying to analyze a piece of media that the artist didn't care enough to consider if it'd be analyzed. Like analyzing AI art.
