Polish Prime Minister @radeksikorski delivers a master class on destroying Russian propaganda at the UNSC:
"He calls them Nazis. Well, the President is Jewish, the Defense Minister is Muslim, and they have no political prisoners.
He says that this is a perfidious proxy war by the West.
My advice is don't fall into the Western trap. Withdraw your troops to the international border and avoid this Western plot.
He said that Ukraine was wallowing in corruption. Well, Alexei Navalny documented how honest and full of propriety his own country is.

What the Ambassador has achieved is to remind us why we resisted Soviet domination and what Ukraine is resisting now. They failed to subjugate us then. They will fail to subjugate Ukraine and us now."

Wow. Fox News host Neil Cavuto just cut away from Trump’s speech after the corrupt former president lied again about the economy and the 2020 election:
“Even though the former president is entitled to his own opinion, he’s not entitled to his own set of facts.”

🚨🚨🚨BREAKING: A bipartisan bill was introduced that would block members of Congress from getting paid if the U.S. enters debt default or if the government shuts down.
The No Pay for Congress During Default or Shutdown Act, introduced by Reps. Abigail Spanberger (D-VA) and Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA), would withhold lawmakers' pay for the duration of a debt limit breach or lapse in federal funding, an attempt to motivate legislators to prevent either situation.
The bill comes amid growing fears that Republicans will not agree to meet the June 1 deadline set by the Treasury Department to raise the debt limit and risk a catastrophic default on U.S. obligations.
“Lawmakers should not be rewarded with our salaries until we do our jobs," Spanberger said.
What are your thoughts? Should it pass?

This is Corion Evans.
While he was driving in Mississippi, he saw a car swerve and crash into a river. Without hesitating, he ran out, jumped into the water, and rescued three girls inside.
He was 16 at the time.
The driver of the vehicle stated she was following her GPS and did not realize she was going into the water.
Corion Evans said he immediately ran over, took off his shoes and shirt and went into the water when he saw the car sinking and heard the three occupants shouting for help.
When Police Officer Gary Mercer responded to the scene, he attempted to bring one person to shore who began panicking and caused him to struggle under water.
Evans helped rescue him, too.
Officials presented Evans with a certificate of commendation for his heroism in rescuing the four people. They also recognized Mercer for his "bravery in the rescue."
“It's not often enough that you see people put others above themselves."

Neerja Bhanot was a flight attendant on Pan Am Flight 73 when it was hijacked in Pakistan by Palestinian terrorists on September 5, 1986. She helped the pilots escape, saved American passengers from execution, and opened the emergency door so hundreds could jump to safety. Ultimately, she was killed while shielding three children from gunfire.
Twenty-two-year-old Indian air hostess Neerja Bhanot was always a woman of courage and convictions. Despite the traditions of her culture and her family's protests, she left her arranged marriage when her husband proved abusive. Then she struck out on her own and began working as both a model and a flight attendant for Pan Am. But shortly after she began her new career in the skies, disaster struck when a flight she was working was hijacked by four terrorists in 1986. Though she was new to the job, she proved to be the greatest hero of the entire ordeal. Over the course of 17 harrowing hours, she helped both the pilots and hundreds of passengers to escape. In the end, she was killed while using her body to protect three children from gunfire.
Bhanot was posthumously awarded medals of bravery from India, Pakistan, and the United States. And one of the children she saved grew up to be a pilot himself and credited Bhanot for his decision.

Jim Thorpe, a renowned American athlete, achieved a remarkable feat during the 1912 Olympics in Stockholm, where he proudly claimed two gold medals. However, his triumph was marred by a peculiar incident: just moments before his competition, an unfortunate incident unfolded when his shoes were stolen. Undeterred by this setback, Thorpe exhibited his resourcefulness and resilience by swiftly locating replacement shoes, one of which was discovered in a discarded bin. Although these substitute shoes were mismatched in size and didn't provide a perfect fit, Thorpe ingeniously compensated for the disparity by wearing additional socks on one foot, effectively accommodating the surplus space within the shoe.
