The first time in my life seeing idol Yixing walk past me at such close range. 240625, Fifth meeting: That day, I flew from Korea to Beijing to meet my family. I chose a noon flight due to time constraints but got held up at customs for ages. Completely drained, dragging my luggage in a daze toward the exit, you appeared like a miracle in front of me. Watching you walk past, I became the flustered, rushed person trailing behind with luggage, following you to the exit. Hearing the fans outside repeatedly call out "Zhang Yixing" and seeing them wave their little sheep lightsticks to welcome you—it’s a moment I’ll never forget. 240710, Sixth meeting: The "Grandline 4" concert in Malaysia. This was my most cherished Grandline, my first concert where I could look you directly in the eyes. On October 15, 2022, you chose to begin your "Grandline 2" in Malaysia. I couldn’t attend because of my studies, so I sent my sister on my behalf. I thought that no matter what, I needed to be present in some form to witness you performing on a stage in my hometown. This year, in ways I’d never imagined, I saw you again and again— From witnessing your transformation into a dazzling solo artist on your debut stage in Korea, fulfilling the promise in your song *Commitment*. That song feels like a promise to those who love you. Together, we kept our promise that day. After the concert, sitting in my seat with a friend, tears started flowing endlessly. Those tears spoke of my longing, my emotions, and things I couldn’t express in words. Then, seeing you in my birthplace—it was a completely unique, indescribable feeling. Watching you experience night markets in Malaysia, eating your favourite satay, drinking your favourite drinks. I felt so close to you—maybe because of love, I was so incredibly lucky to get front-row seats. Watching your dimples on stage, your unstoppable smile. It’s not about defeating others, but about overcoming yourself. Before I even received the physical album, I had already attended the listening event in its entirety. It was an incredibly immersive feast for both the eyes and ears. The entire concept of the album, from the arrangements and lyrics to the vocals and stage visuals, was absolutely mind-blowing. At that moment, all I could think was, Yes, this is Zhang Yixing. This is what an incredibly brilliant artist can create on stage. I’ll treasure this album dearly.
