A moment nearly four decades in the making. After making her daytime television debut in 1987, Tamara Tunie celebrates her first-ever Emmy win 😍 In an emotional acceptance speech, the actress paid tribute to the Black women who paved the way, including the legendary Cicely Tyson, and shared a heartfelt dedication to her 92-year-old mother, who traveled across the country to witness her special moment. A beautiful reminder that every chapter of the journey matters. Congratulations, Tamara Tunie!

Isabel Adon bought into a co-op in the Bronx to build something for her children. Junior Gonzalez did it after serving in the Marines. They say overnight, the city of New York took it all with little to no notice or compensation, labeling their building "distressed" and transferring the deed to a nonprofit. This happened to hundreds of families, nearly all in minority communities. A $60 million settlement has been proposed, but the fight isn't over. Every family deserves the right to build generational wealth without fear of losing it.

Byron Donalds’ record on Haitian TPS: April 16, 2026: Voted NO on H.R. 1689, a bill to designate Haiti for TPS. July 2026: Said TPS had been “abused” under Biden and defended ending protections. Aug. 23: Told CBS that Trump was “correct” to make TPS temporary, despite acknowledging stabilizing Haiti “is going to take time.” September: Campaigns for Haitian-American votes in Little Haiti. That’s the timeline.
