100%. I did it! This MW4 Campaign has been so much fun. Looking forward to DMZ releasing later today, but I may have to come back and attempt YOLO soon 👀

Just finished the MW4 campaign, and wow, it really is amazing. In my opinion, it's up there with the all-time great Call of Duty campaigns, alongside MW19 and Infinite Warfare. The pacing of the missions themselves is excellent, for the most part. In what might be a hot take, I actually really enjoy missions like Stranded. However, I can't help but feel that it's a little misplaced in this particular title. While enjoyable, it ultimately feels like padding in a story that already has so much ground to cover. Mads Mikkelsen was fantastic. I only wish we'd seen more of him. My biggest complaint is with the final quarter of the campaign. While still incredibly enjoyable, it feels like we're rushing towards the finish line of the Modern Warfare franchise. And that makes the inclusion of missions like Stranded all the more frustrating. Why dedicate so much time to padding when there's still so much story left to tell? More than anything, I think MW4 highlights the shortcomings of its predecessor, MW3. The world-building established in MW19 and MW2 was largely squandered, and while MW4 is an incredible game, I can't help but feel that this story deserved more time to develop. Imagine, for example, if Soap were still here. If MW3 had incorporated some of the strongest elements of this campaign, leaving MW4 with more room to build towards its conclusion, I genuinely believe we could have had something approaching perfection. More time to develop the characters, more weight behind their decisions, and ultimately, a more satisfying payoff to everything that brought us to this point. But despite all these what-ifs, MW4 is an absolute must-play campaign, and I'm already excited to see what Infinity Ward has in store for us next. 8.5/10

An expansion surely has to be on the cards one day. It is understandable if it is not yet, but I have always said the expansion is needed to free up the clutter at the bottom of the CDL / top of Challengers. More teams = Better flow through the transition point between Am to pro = Larger turnover of players through the Am system.
