I am so excited to get these 3D printed skeletons of Cryptotora (a cave balitorid) from @LSU’s Aquatic Germplasm and Genetic Resources Center - (and thanks Zach Randall of @FloridaMuseum for the scans) - look at that ‘hip’ (bony connection from vertebral column to pelvic girdle)!

Ok, I know this a few days late now but I wanna bring @Zach__Randall ‘s work here. Digitization can serve research purposes but can also be a great communicationand outreach tool and, with an artistic touch to it, can induce an emotional response to specimens and research.
Can't think of anything spookier than this photogrammetry scan of preserved gopher tortoise head. Happy Halloween Folks
