“You’re a horrible little reporter, aren’t you?” If any previous president had said that to a reporter at the White House, a female reporter in particular, it would have been a multi-day scandal. But we as a country and media have normalized this boorish, abusive misogynist.
YIKES 😳 Trump snaps at a reporter asking him about why he's dismissing sexual abuse allegations 👇 WOMAN REPORTER: Do the sexual abuse allegations mean nothing to you, sir? TRUMP: Wait. Wait! Wait wait wait. Slow down. Who are you with? REPORTER: NBC, sir. But they are very serious sexual abuse allegations TRUMP: Quiet! Isn't she a fresh person? You're a horrible little reporter, aren't you?

World-leading cardiac surgeon Asif Hasan was surrounded by the children who received the gift of life thanks to his unerring skills at the emotional climax of another memorable Pride of Britain ceremony. 🥹 Now 70 years old, Mr Hasan has just retired after 35 years of service at the Freeman Hospital in Newcastle upon Tyne, but just after receiving his Lifetime Achievement Award, he had an extra special surprise: a cast of patients who would not be alive without him. ❤️

Finishing touches ahead of this evening’s State Banquet… ✨   Tonight, The King and Queen will host a State Banquet for the Sultan of Oman at Windsor Castle.   ☕️ Inspired by the Omani ritual of Kahwa, a collection of special teas will be served.   While Kahwa is traditionally a spiced coffee, the concept has been adapted to draw on the long-standing British love of tea while preserving the aromatic spices and flavours that make Kahwa so distinctive: fragrant cardamom, delicate rose, sweet dates, and gentle warming spices.   Guests will be invited to choose from an Iced Earl Grey & Date, an Iced Mint & Rose, or a Warm Cardamom-Spiced Blend sweetened with Windsor Honey.   Together, they reflect the warmth and hospitality shared by both Omani and British traditions. 🇬🇧🇴🇲

Reform UK's private police in Colchester have been given an official reprimand after they illegally handcuffed two teenage girls. Operation Vanguard is a private security patrol employed at the cost of £150,000 to the taxpayer, to wander the streets of Braintree, Chelmsford and Colchester. If we look a little further though, unsurprisingly, Reform UK have some serious questions to answer. The BBC reported yesterday that two of the private police patrol, run by a firm called My Local Bobby, were officially rebuked by the police for illegally detaining these girls. Essex Police said two offences of assault without injury were recorded and “learning requirements” had been “passed to the security staff employers”. The £150,000 contract for Operation Vanguard was awarded without tender to My Local Bobby by Peter Harris, Reform leader of the council. The goons handcuffed two teenagers they believed to be shoplifting, but these security staff have zero powers of detention under the law. As you can see from Essex County Council's own website FAQs below, they have no powers at all. It feels to me that the citizens of Essex should be aware of this fact and be prepared to stand up to these glorified store detectives. FAQs state that they cannot arrest people, they have no powers of stop and search, no power to ask questions and absolutely zero enforcement powers. They are literally performing 'citizens arrests' and being paid £150,000 by the council for it. If those in Essex know this then it could easily open the council up to substantial lawsuits if their vigilantes carry on 'arresting' people illegally. Reform UK are wasting public money again and setting themselves up to be sued. Again. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/crly…

The man who missed 77 consecutive votes in Parliament over the course of almost three months is now complaining about teachers potentially working four day weeks (with kids still receiving five days of schooling)
Labour’s latest half-baked scheme is a truly dreadful idea. How can you expect kids to turn up on time and work hard if their teachers are only present 4 days a week? It's frankly insulting to pupils and parents. Reform will fight this at every turn.

Too many on the Right are naive about the nature of the left. The Left is being dragged towards Islamo-communism. They are a threat to our country.

🚨 BREAKING: Reform UK has reported ITV and its reporters to the police after going undercover in the party for a year "They forged a passport. They directly interfered in elections and almost certainly results. They lied to a veteran"

I’m going to go out on a limb and say they haven’t got a shred of evidence to prove ITV reporters have ‘interfered’ with letters/leaflets - it’s undiluted speculation/deflection/time wasting If they did have evidence they’d be screaming that they had
When Reform's letters to postal voters in Portsmouth were ready to go out, two undercover ITV reporters were personally responsible for almost two hundred of them in the ward of Drayton and Farlington. Reform lost Drayton and Farlington by 24 votes. The same two men were responsible for delivering leaflets to half the ward of Baffins. Reform lost Baffins by 85 votes. These were men whose purpose was to infiltrate Reform UK and damage it. In two wards decided by a few dozen votes, we believe there are reasonable grounds to conclude that ITV altered the result of British elections. There is no precedent for this. It is certainly not journalism. We believe it to be criminal. We will hold ITV and its activists to account.

Zia Yusuf has made an extraordinary series of public statements presenting alleged criminal conduct by ITV journalists as established fact, in an apparent attempt to intimidate and silence the free press. He does not say “Reform alleges that…” or “the journalists may have committed…”. He repeatedly states that criminal offences were committed by people who, as far as the public record shows, have not been charged or convicted of those offences. If these serious allegations cannot ultimately be substantiated, Yusuf could have exposed himself to significant civil liability, including a potentially serious defamation claim. Let’s take his five claims. “They forged a passport.” This is a serious criminal allegation, not an established fact. There is a potentially relevant offence under the Identity Documents Act 2010, but whether it was committed depends on precisely what document was created or altered, what the journalist knew and the statutory intention involved. Yusuf has converted an allegation about what happened to a document into a definitive declaration that a criminal offence was committed. That is a very different thing. “These crimes carry up to 10 years in prison.” This is pure rhetorical intimidation. A maximum sentence attached to an offence does not establish that the offence has occurred. “They committed a criminal offence by being paid to canvass” and “almost certainly altered the results.” This is where Yusuf’s argument becomes particularly misleading. These journalists were not paid by ITV to canvass for Reform. They were paid by ITV as undercover investigative journalists. Their participation in Reform campaign activity was part of maintaining their undercover identities. ITV did not employ them to promote Reform candidates, procure votes or act as Reform canvassers. Yusuf then claims they “almost certainly altered” election results, without producing evidence that they changed a single vote. That is a disputed interpretation of the law followed by an entirely unsupported claim about election outcomes. “They lied to a veteran and left him violated.” This is emotive rhetoric, not an identified criminal offence. Undercover journalism necessarily involves deception where revealing the journalist’s identity would defeat the investigation. Pretending otherwise is simply to misunderstand how undercover journalism works. “This is unprecedented.” It isn’t. British journalists have used false identities, covert recording and deception for decades to investigate corruption, criminality, racism and misconduct. These are established investigative techniques, subject to the law and broadcasting regulation, not some novel weapon invented to target Reform. A free press is not supposed to obtain permission from the political parties it investigates. Undercover journalism does not suddenly become criminal simply because the people being investigated object to what it uncovered. If you want to understand the danger of political parties with vast financial resources using litigation and legal threats to pressure the press, this is what it looks like. We have already seen Donald Trump use lawsuits and legal threats against major news organisations to prevent them exposing his conduct. Now Reform is threatening journalists with police action and “relentless” legal proceedings to silence them.

ITV *might* have forged a passport ITV *might* have ‘interfered’ electorally ITV *might* have lied to a veteran But none of those possibilities diminishes the audio/visual evidence that Reform councillors used racist, misogynistic & deeply unpleasant language
STATEMENT: Reform UK has reported ITV, its board, and its undercover reporters to the police. Some of the crimes carry up to 10 years in prison. They forged a passport. They directly interfered in elections and almost certainly altered the results. Being paid to “canvass” for Reform in crucial wards we lost by a few dozen votes. They lied to a veteran about their service and left him “violated”. This is unprecedented. The police are now involved. Scrutiny of political parties is one thing. But anyone breaking the law to try and ruin the lives of Reform’s staff, members or volunteers will be reported to the police and pursued relentlessly in the courts. Here’s what happened 👇
