Two stories shortlisted in @BridportPrize. Once, I’d have seen this as pointless - celebrating small leaps& acknowledging stumbling blocks - but writing SF’s one of the most deliciously challenging processes I’ve experienced. Now for the next level. 🙏🏾 to @leoneross @STWevents

On 22 April 1993, Stephen Lawrence, just 18 years old was murdered in an unprovoked, brutal racist attack. His family have all fought tirelessly for justice. Let us remember Stephen in our hearts.

What a super week that was, I loved having the time to just write, and talk about writing, in the company of lovely authors. Great to meet @HanaKhalique, @nancyfreund, @HaleemahAlaydi, @_9vite_, and @ggaffa. Thank-you, @arvonfoundation, for relighting that little creative spark!

I cannot even begin to explain how proud I am of @WaleedAkhtar. Anyone who saw The P Word knows how deeply deserved this award is. Even when he only has the stage for two minutes, he raises the roof...

When you support unfairness because it’s in your favor. Remember what goes around, comes around. Be just even when it’s in your favor.

Had an invigorating evening yesterday at Joel Tan’s ‘Messy Forms for Messy Times’ playwrighting masterclass from @theatre503. Brilliant discussion with a great group of people. Feel very inspired to keep playing, and let my work be ‘messy’!

Verification is a public service, it is a good deed performed by companies who contribute very little good to the world in my opinion. We should be making easier clearer paths to verification for everyone, not making it harder. It is their responsibility, not a business model.

It’s not that we don’t care… it’s just nothing to celebrate for.
The country is crap, they want to elect a fossil as president (which is partly why it’s crap), a lot of the older generation, there are still stuck in 1950s mindset… what’s there to celebrate about…

#BailaViniJr
