“I'm an old JUCO ball coach. I drove on 16 passenger fans. I drove from Kansas to Arizona for a basketball game... If you had told me back then that I'm getting to coach basketball in the Sweet 16.. I would sign up for it, I would crawl to get there.

I don’t understand the appeal of constantly checking stats.
I didn’t know my ERA or any of my numbers during my time as a student-athlete.
Why?
I was aware of my results & whether I positively impacted my team or not.
Good personal numbers doesn’t mean you are winning games.

A lot of people think it’s cool not to care. It’s not. Effort is cool. Caring is cool. Showing up is cool.

You can't control:
Weather
Field Conditions
Umpire calls
Coach's Decisions
Opponents actions
But you can control:
Your preparation
Your attitude
Your mindset
Your hustle
Your energy
Your focus
Your effort
Be a great teammate & always control what you can control!

Big news in the softball world. @OU_Softball's Patty Gasso now makes $1.625 annually. That salary would be tied for second in Division I Baseball with Ole Miss skipper Mike Bianco. Tim Corbin sits at the top in terms of BSB and SB.
Oklahoma head coach Patty Gasso signed a new landmark deal with an astonishing new salary.
