About as open, honest and frustrated as I’ve seen Heat coach Erik Spoelstra in a long time. He makes clear the defense is not acceptable right now, and everyone is to blame, including himself:

Heat Central’s main takeaways, game 7:
- Defense was BAD all night
- Offensive turnovers were awful
- Luka and Reaves just foul bait all night. Lakers are a bad watch
- Bam should’ve been on Luka more tonight
- Klay Thompson looked good for Miami
- Didn’t get much from Wiggins and Bam for the most part
- Heat bench was terrible
- Giannis looked great attacking, but those jumpers he takes are bad and a major W for the defense
- 3rd quarter was just embarrassing. We still got some ways to go

Heat start their West coast trip with a 138-117 loss to the Lakers. Defense was bad from the start. It was hard to watch. Miami is now 2-5 on the season. They stay in Los Angeles to play the Clippers on Wednesday night.
