Two numbers tell you if your stops and exits are right:
MAE: how far price went against you.
MFE: how far it went in your favour.
If your winners often use 80% of the stop, your stop is too tight. If they run 2R past your exit, your exits are too early.

Sort your trades by the hour you entered.
Add up each hour.
Most traders have one or two hours where they give back what the rest of the day made. Once you know which, you can stop trading them.

Go through this month's losing trades.
For each one: did you move the stop before it was hit? Yes or no.
Then compare the average loss of both groups. The difference is what "giving it room" really costs you.

Before your next 20 trades, give each setup a score from 0 to 100. Write it down before you click.
After trade 20, compare the high scores with the low ones.
If both groups make the same money, your checklist isn't filtering anything.
