I used to be a language lawyer. In the late 80s I _studied_ the ARM (Annotated Reference Manual for C++). I knew the language cold, inside and out. I could make it do backflips. I shipped a lot of code using it. A LOT.
I’ve attacked other languages with a similar intensity and depth. Until recently, that was simply the only way to become adept at building software systems.
I now consider the deep understanding of a language to be a supreme waste of time and effort. I don’t want to learn Rust, or Golang, or Typescript, or any of the thousands of other languages out there. I’ll leave that to my agents.
What I need now is to understand the high level gestalt of the system. I want to see the systems and subsystems. I don’t need to inspect the cogs. If I truly need to understand a detail at the cog level, I’ll interrogate my agents. I’m not going to pretend to be a language expert anymore.

Two months ago, alongside @Coinbase and @danboneh, we co-hosted a post-quantum workshop for cryptographers, protocol engineers, hardware wallet manufacturers, and institutional voices working on Bitcoin’s preparedness for a CRQC.
Today, we’re sharing transcripts from the event and a blog post summarizing the discussions: lclhost.org/blog/quantum-wor…
A special thank you to our speakers and session leaders: @danboneh, @asanso, @LindellYehuda, Pieter Wuille, @conduition_io, @n1ckler, @P3b7_, and Justin of Localhost, everyone who traveled to attend, and the @MARAFoundation_ for sponsoring our post-event dinner.
We hope this workshop leads to more in-person opportunities to study Bitcoin’s Post-Quantum Problem (PQP).
Finally, thank you to @btctranscripts for hosting the transcripts of every talk and session: btctranscripts.com/quantum-w…
the /statechart skill in pstack v0.15.36 is now stable and ready for use! it's best combined with /create-formal-verification-skill to abstractly model state machines and distributed systems to find bugs.
the skill contains a mini tlc compiler that parses, lowers to a small IR, and has a backend that outputs mmd syntax. if you want you can also ask your agent to create charts in whatever style you like, the skills tells it to use pele.run/ which is very themeable so you can make blueprints, hand drawn encyclopedia illustrations or whatever you like
here's a chart of the /statechart skill and 2 real bugs i just found. try it out and let me know what you think!

We need accessible and intuitive miniscript UI/UX. I am not convinced a threshold multi-vendor multisig is a silver bullet for self custody alone.
The fault tolerance at the cost of interactivity trade-off is essential for giving uses a way out under the worst of circumstances.

I have managed highly successful multi million dollar enterprise #bitcoin #lightningnetwork nodes for more than half a decade and I have learned a lot. Now I am putting together an interactive learning environment for aspiring professional lightning node managers.
There will be a simulated environment on a regular domain as well as an open source download for local automatic regtest node deployment in addition to the GUI and terminal simulation.
We need more professional node managers and the best way to get them is to have a zero risk learning environment to build confidence.
Still a lot to build but I will be dropping teasers here and there until I make it all public. Lightning is just too fun. Can't stop won't stop.

AI agent orchestrator.
As autonomous AI agents take on multi-step projects across companies, someone will design their workflows, coordinate teams of them, resolve conflicts between agents, and keep the whole system aligned with human goals. It will feel as ordinary as managing a remote team does today.

⛊ BitVM2 enabled SNARK verification on Bitcoin, but disputes required 4 MB of onchain data.
⛊ BitVM3 cut that to 200 bytes — at the cost of 50 GB of offchain data.
⛊ Argo reduces the offchain data to about 10 MB, making BitVM bridges highly practical.
👨💻 Open-sourcing this week!

We've been working for decades to reduce the amount of cognitive and keyboard overhead in simply communicating with the machine while developing software. LLMs are a realization of the first natural language programming interface that actually works, and for some reason people are very confused about it.
Some folks think it's their new God and others think it's an unholy terror when it's just a natural language interface between man and machine that actually works.
This is backward. Software used to be about programming, which was about thinking and typing.
Now it's about truly building things, pretty much at the speed you can think.
The big difference is taste. 10 years ago a great programmer didn't need taste. There was too much work to do, someone else could handle that part.
Now you need taste, and you face a constant stream of decisions. You can't hide in the bits anymore!
When we built TMOG, it wasn't a prompt - it was HUNDREDS of prompts placed by multiple devs for months. AI didn't create the interface - we did, with hundreds if not thousands of small decisions.
That's the irony - to me, it was ALL craft. And I didn't miss the typing at all.

Technical moats are mostly over at this point. If you’re building something that is meant to be durable, the only moats now are:
• Proprietary data
• Network effects
• A physical component

hot take: by freeing us for the hassle of writing code, SWE is now more about engineering than it has ever been
Neuphonic just released NeuDecide, an audio-first tiny decision model at only 43 MB, running on a single CPU thread!!
> Speech directly to tool calls (no transcription needed)
> Just 46 ms inference on an M3 MacBook
> Runs fully offline, even on mobile & Raspberry Pi
> 75.5% tool accuracy on SLURP
