Very windy but a beautiful Autumnal walk. 8.5k with a stop in the middle for coffee & a pastry! Perfect!
End of Wk 1 of 3rd year as HT. For me, I can't imagine not caring about the staff, children & families in my school community... but making sure the busy-ness of school life doesn't get in the way of showing that care sometimes needs to be more of a conscious choice. Happy w/e 🥂
A new school year begins tomorrow. A new year brings new opportunities, a chance to refocus & to set new directions. It's exciting, but also daunting. There will be challenges as well as successes. But it will be ok, more than ok, I hope!

One day more! Leavers' assembly, meeting a prospective governor, taking yrs 3 & 5 for a bit so their teachers can sort their rooms pre-roofing project, shirt signing, lunch duty, yr6 send off. One day more!
Agree. Of course being a Headteacher is demanding and there can be some really tricky times, but it's too easy to fall into the negative. I love my job and am proud to lead my school community 💚
