The Defence Industrial Strategy proposes a $2.7 billion investment over five years, with a clear focus on strengthening Canada’s defence priorities including medium class launch capacity.
This builds on previous federal support for the development of DND launch capability at Spaceport Nova Scotia and reinforces the importance of long-term investment, collaboration and a coordinated approach to establishing this critical national capability.

Maritime Launch Services Receives Final Approval To List On The Toronto Stock Exchange
"As Maritime Launch develops Spaceport Nova Scotia, Canada's gateway to space, listing on the Toronto Stock Exchange will provide an important platform to broaden our visibility and engagement with the investment community. We are building strategic national infrastructure that can connect Canada to the global space economy and provide sovereign access to space from Canadian soil. The TSX listing is another key milestone as we execute on that vision," said Stephen Matier, President and CEO of Maritime Launch.
The Common Shares will commence trading on the TSX at market open on November 3, 2026 under the symbol "MAXQ". In connection with the TSX listing, the Common Shares will cease trading on Cboe Canada at the close of trading on November 2, 2026.
