Well done, Ian.
The South Yorkshire Police - so bent they had to bring in a new law to stop the lying.
A message of relief from me today.
We had the news that our ammendments have been accepted by the Government with carve outs removed.
We now have legislation worthy of the name.

I don’t know whether I could write anything better about Hillsborough than this piece that was published before the 20th anniversary. It’s about my mate Tony, who went through the open gates with me open.substack.com/pub/tonyev…

Reports that today the govt introduces a "Duty of candour" for public officials as part of a Hillsborough Law.
The @_H_S_A position on the South Yorks and West Midlands Police is clear.

Today I reintroduced the Hillsborough Law to Parliament.
The Prime Minister promised enacting this legislation would be one of his first acts in office. A year on, he still hasn’t done it.
I’m showing him that it’s here and ready to go. It just needs political will.
The truth. It’s really simple. The authorities lied.
The Hillsborough Survivors Association sends its collective love to the bereaved families & our fellow survivors as we remember the 97 innocent people unlawfully killed by @syptweet on 15 April 1989.

Read this thread…. Leeds fans at Hillsborough speak about the horror of their ‘near miss’ in 1987. Sadly for us @syptweet & @swfc didn’t heed the warnings. Also nice to see the thread isn’t laced with all the usual garbage.

After stalling for 11 years, & with the 35th anniversary looming, @wrong_kennedy of the Hillsborough Survivors Association (HSA) calls for transparency from @policeconduct on when their Hillsborough report will see the light of day…….
The IOPC aka @policeconduct have been working on their Hillsborough report for over 11 years already and now it seems it there may still be years to go
Their report on police conduct at Hillsborough seems to have been kicked into the longest of long grass
Please name a date
Good thread by @NickBraley1 from the Hillsborough Survivors Association (HSA) on the British government commissioned ‘independent review’ into the effectiveness of @policeconduct (the police watchdog!)…….
Govt 347 page report on the @policeconduct is out and as you'd expect the Hillsborough investigation has been highlighted a few times /thread

Brilliant, insightful thread from @AdrianTempany of the Hillsborough Survivors Association (HSA). A real first-hand insight into the fight to clear survivors names at the Warrington inquests…..
There’s been a lot of discussion recently about #MrBatesVsThePostOffice & parallels with Windrush, Hillsborough & other miscarriages of justice. But we need more scrutiny on the solicitors & judiciary in these scandals.
A long thread.../
