We have a long way to go people understanding the role and impact of speech and language therapy @RCSLT This is a lovely reminder of how far AAC has come.

The expansion of the mental health workforce must include speech and language therapists to support #rehabilitation and #recovery. #SLTs have a critical role in supporting the 60% of people with communication needs in #mentalhealth services #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek
So inspiring seeing how other SLTs are working in mental health services but also highlights how far we have to go. So grateful for all the SLTs sharing ideas. Could make so much positive change with access to SLT on wards.
