I'm laughing at the fact that all of a sudden people are trying to act like the Middleton family are respectful and classy. Before Prince Harry and Meghan got engaged, the BM wrote many articles talking about how the Middleton family were major social climbers. They gave Pippa and Kate the nickname Wisteria Sisters. You have Kate's maternal uncle Gary who was caught in a 2009 drug sting. He pleaded guilty to assault for beating and punching his wife during a drunken argument in 2017. And let's talk about James Middleton who was selling Nazi themed confetti boxes.

This. NYC adds one key ingredient to your life which you’ll be hard-pressed to find anywhere else - serendipity. To me it’s a must-have ingredient for a happy life. And it’s basically absent from any non-urban area or anything too spread out (and hence requiring a car). NYC is a top-tier serendipity generator.
living in NYC is basically the adult equivalent of attending a massive state university everything is walkable, you randomly run into people you know, there’s always something happening, and no matter how niche your interests are, you can find your people it’s just one enormous college town

it is such a fun skill to develop, I learned how do this while training for pageants (c0vid made my muscle atrophy a bit but it's still there)
Yes, and she's a critical example. Marilyn Monroe could literally walk around cities incognito and chat with her friends, and then say "want to see me be Her?" With no physical changes, she'd switch on, and cause traffic jams and be recognized by all. Sir Alec Guinness could do the same, and often did post Star Wars. It's a skill worth developing.

I do love that the undercurrent is that the we're all very suspicious of this very good weather. We know it's not going to last
The most perfect weather week in the history of the world is happening in New York this week

I love every story inject it into my veins

And so it begins … the story is shifting because it’s obvious that the investigation will confirm that William and Kate knew about this letter first and probably ordered it suppressed. Harry and Meghan were fully under William and Kate’s office then and the staff were carrying out an anti-Sussex agenda on behalf of the then Cambridges.

there is noting I want to win enough to do it covered in poop, smearing it on my competition, and that is absolutely ok
Yes this was absolutely gross, but the reaction to it all is a good example of how much gen pop underestimates how the mind of a competitive athlete operates. The instinct to compete and win overrides all embarrassment & literally any concern for how youre perceived. Nothing matters more than winning and unless an official is pulling you out youre going to keep going. People can debate whether she shouldve stopped all they want, but she didnt and she went on to win. Most people will never understand that level of competitiveness. Its also why theyll never win at that level

I was a receptionist during one of the many economic dips in the last 12 years and people often called the office when the customer service line was busy and men would call all the time because they knew I wouldn't hang up on a client...
men are being depraved predators in fields you couldn't even imagine

I highly encourage people with ADHD to use spite as a motivator. look at how much shit you get done when it’s fueled by a “I got something for yo ass”

All the studies they conduct illustrate that men don’t like intelligence in women. m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_5… independent.co.uk/news/scien… psychologytoday.com/blog/the…
as a woman whose most commented-upon trait was my intelligence, can confirm that the majority of men who say they like intelligent women ACTUALLY mean "I like women who agree with me on everything."

well, how long did they talk and then how long did you talk? what happens AFTER you share your story? does the original storyteller then have to console you? this only works if you share a BRIEF anecdote and immediately pivot BACK to them. If their story then becomes your story..
i just found out that when someone tells me about their week and i answer with a story about mine, some people think i'm one-upping them. i'm not. 🥹 you tell me your flight got delayed, i tell you about the time mine did too. that's my neurodivergent brain saying "me too, i get it, i'm with you."

buddy got outta a six year situationship by blaming a $9 tax and the woman involved harbors no resentment and is instead talking about how masculine he is for not paying said tax or getting on the subway, i got real tears in my eyes LMAO
I’d been dating an MTA man off & on over a period of like 6 years. We basically stopped seeing each other bc of Congestion Pricing. He already pays it plus bridge tolls to get from his home in East NY to the depot in Harlem where he works. Coming to visit me inside the zone a few times per week as well, not to mention driving for our formerly frequent weekend getaways to AC became a hardship & no way he’d ever let me pay instead

using the "best" example of a marriage to defend the institution is ridiculous. the reality is most are not like this, just like most parenting experiences are not happy smiling babies that sleep thru the night. If the AVERAGE version is abominable, it can and should be gutted
Let me preface this by saying that women need to be exceptionally picky about who they marry, especially if they have some success or plan to - and a lot of women would be better off single than shackled to the losers they’re with. BUT there is nothing, nothing, nothing better than being married to a good man, and no, it’s not just a piece of paper, and no, it’s not just if you’re religious (I’m not even). Being married 100% did change my relationship and entirely in positive ways. This avoidant, “we’re together for as long as it works” bs is a fear-based way of living that prevents couples (and the kids they may have) from truly becoming one and experiencing the permanence, security, and growth that comes with it. Having a big wedding is less consequential but I will add, as someone who was on the fence about having one, it’s my favorite memory of my entire life. I still think about it, we reminisce about it (together and with guests), we look at the pictures. Having everyone you love all alive and in one place is a breathtaking experience people are undermining because of the costs or some kind of anti-women hate that attributes weddings to vanity. Anyways, I just think this narrative is toxic and harmful for young women. (But Shay makes the best luggage on the market and I’m using it as we speak so no hate to her). We can and should be honest about the risks involved and acknowledge the seriously sad lack of good options for young women right now without discounting the value. This is worth fighting for (for women and for men) and the focus should be raising better men for women to partner with.

I'm sorry men annoy me to NO END about this. ESPECIALLY the "boyfriend dk" one. You are mad that she is happy you have a dk. Of a size. In which she is able to hop on at any time and at any angle. Without discomfort. Which means MOAR s*x for you.. I recognize the hour. IDC 😂

this is absolutely a "lobster too buttery" problem, right up there with "boyfriend dk" Imagine a woman saying that you are the kind of man one would be serious and not frivolous about and you hear "she's not attracted to me, she might leave me if a hookup handsome man appeared"

Even the idea that your status as her boyfriend is in peril because he sees you as boyfriend material. You DO realize she's ALREADY rejected several "hookup kings" to be with you, right? Someone objectively "better" than you has already been rejected for your dumbass
