With Jaylen Brown traded to Philly for Paul George it's clear that Tatum will be their main ball handler and scorer with the offense revolving around him. In the 2 pre season games Tatum has played he's had 17 and 19 shot attempts all while playing under 30 minutes. There will be no minute restrictions for Tatum this season as he is even expected to play in back to backs. There is a clear path to huge scoring upside. Don't forget he use to average 30.1 PPG in the 22-23 season and hasn't showed signs of slowing down even after the achilles tear. His playmaking upside is very intriguing here. Last season he averaged 12.3 potential assists and that's on limited minutes and with a crowded backcourt. This year he will be bringing up the ball much more often. When playing 33+ minutes he cleared his line of 5.5 at a 70% clip averaging 7.3 per game. We've seen in the preseason Tatum already connecting on lobs with newly acquired big man Mitchell Robinson who they signed in FA's from the New York Knicks. This acquisition has set Tatum up with many opportunities off the PNR to either score or assists a spot up or the roller.
