Don’t believe Minister Quinn. He keeps saying OSAP has been cut off because of these “very serious allegations”. He’s known about this since 2023. He did nothing. He allowed hundreds of millions to flow to a handful of private colleges who’ve now been referred to the OPP for potential fraud. Restore OSAP. Reverse the grant cuts. Resign. #onpoli

Today, I asked Doug Ford to fix OSAP, honour funding commitments to students who have been cut off, and fire his Minister of Colleges and Universities over the billion-dollar OSAP fraud scandal. The Premier didn't answer. His Minister did, but avoided taking accountability for the government's failure to stop suspected fraud despite years of warnings. As usual. Students deserve answers, not excuses. #onpoli @OntLiberal

Supporting our education workers is supporting our students. Proud to stand with my Ottawa caucus colleagues, education workers, and public school advocates at today’s education rally in Ottawa. Our message to Doug Ford is simple: Bargain in good faith. Smaller class sizes. Safer schools. More staff and student supports. Fair wages. Proper funding for public education. Listen to education workers and students. #onpoli #onted #ontedunited #ontedsolidaire

Thousands of students have had their OSAP ripped away. Now they’re facing dropping out, homelessness, and financial ruin. The Ford government was warned about potential fraud for years. Instead of targeting the bad actors, students at public and private institutions are paying the price. I sat down with @ColinDMello on Global News’ Focus Ontario to discuss the growing OSAP crisis and why students deserve better. Watch the full segment here: youtu.be/r4EK2U9tWe4?si=1Dth… #onpoli

The Ford government destroyed OSAP. They were warned about potential fraud for years and failed to act. Now students across Ontario can’t pay rent, tuition and groceries, and they’re being told to wait until the new year. What are they supposed to do in the mean time? Students should not have to pay the price for this government’s incompetence. Cut off the bad actors. Restore OSAP for students who followed the rules. Immediately. #onpoli cp24.com/politics/queens-par…

At best, the OSAP scandal is incompetence and mismanagement. At worst, potential corruption. Doug Ford’s Conservatives tried to scapegoat students by accusing them of wasting OSAP on luxury items, while nearly 20% of grant spending went to a handful of private career colleges referred to the OPP. Ford owes students an apology. Immediately restore grants for public institutions and reinstate OSAP for legitimate career programs. Sign my petition: tylerwattmpp.ca/fix-osap-asa… #onpoli

"Confused about OSAP grants? Get up to $50,000 in government grants. Secure your future. No repayment, just opportunity!" These are the types of pitches dozens of student recruitment companies are making online. The Trillium has learned some private career colleges are paying these online recruiters for student referrals. Corporate records also link one recruitment group to a private college network at the centre of the Ford government's OSAP investigation. STORY w/ @jessiecatherine: thetrillium.ca/news/educatio…

Political connections. Lobbyists. Donations. Hundreds of millions in OSAP funding. The Ford government was warned in 2023. So why did it take over three years to act? Who was lobbying them? Who was donating? What did they know, and when? Now innocent students are paying the price. Sign my petition to restore OSAP: tylerwattmpp.ca/fix-osap-asa… #onpoli

This morning, I joined @CTVYMOttawa to discuss the OSAP scandal. Doug Ford needs to immediately reinstate OSAP for students who followed the rules. Keep the bad actors cut off, investigate them, and make affected students whole. The government must also reverse its OSAP grant cuts to public colleges and universities. Their claims that OSAP was unsustainable deserve serious scrutiny in light of what we now know. Students should not be paying the price for this government’s failures. #onpoli

Today in Ottawa, career college students shared heartbreaking stories with @JohnFraserOS and @tylerwatt. They went back to school for a better life. One month in, the Ford government paused their OSAP. The minister keeps his job. They lose their chance at a better one. #onpoli

What is going on inside Doug Ford’s government? Yesterday: serious questions about why warnings around OSAP and private career colleges went unanswered for years. Today: a sworn declaration alleging the Premier’s Office used a proposed government agreement as political leverage. Different files. Same ministry. More questions. #onpoli

You’re firing nurses and health care workers across Ontario.
Doug Ford and our Ontario PC team are making record investments in health care. This year, we’re investing more than $101 billion to connect more people to family doctors, build new hospitals and train more doctors. ontariopc.ca/2026/10/07/reco…

In January 2023, Career Colleges Ontario, the sector itself, told the ministry it was seeing signs of suspicious activity. It met with the ministry four times that year. And Minister Quinn is saying they only found out in late 2024. Even if we believe that, why did it take him years to act? Source: cp24.com/politics/queens-par… #onpoli

The Ford government is scrambling. They’ve been warned about problems with OSAP since 2023. They broke it and now students are paying the price for their incompetence and mismanagement. Students deserve answers, not more chaos. #onpoli

BREAKING: The Ford government is calling in the OPP and asking the Auditor General to investigate the dramatic increase of OSAP loans going to private career colleges. The government says it calling in a third-party auditor earlier this year and found "serious concerns about the integrity of the OSAP system in the private postsecondary sector." #onpoli
