Held a meeting this morning with the Board of Kenya Water for Health Organization (@_KWAHO ), led by their Chairperson Ms. Pauline Ikumi. Since its inception, KWAHO has positively impacted the lives of over 3 million people across Kenya through targeted initiatives focused on Provision of safe and clean water, improved sanitation infrastructure, Hygiene promotion, Capacity building and advocacy for the right to WASH and Training in operations, maintenance, and sustainable management of water systems. The meeting emphasized the need to strengthen collaboration between the State Department and KWAHO to accelerate access to Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) services, especially for vulnerable and marginalized communities. The organization was also instrumental in the development of the National Sanitation Management Policy which is currently under publication.
