i'm upgrading my custom renderer to a proper engine
It's been 25 days since I started this process. All this time, I've been wanting to talk about it
but every time I wished to show off i convinced myself to wait until I had a few cool features to share but I got to admit the output was the same since day 1
Almost 99% of my work went to RHI - making it platform independent, ECS - making it cache friendly and making it be as multi threaded as possible
These won't be fun to see but are super necessary for a Game Engine and I still have more internals to work with. This time will be different, cause my sharing in public procrastination ends here
why now ? cause I honestly dont know what to post here. Here after there will be boring technical posts from me and yeup there will be shit posts as well, all for my 1-2 people audience

Chamath: Software IP Just Became Worthless
“I think that IP and software was effectively rendered worthless two days ago.
There have been people that decompiled the entire Big 5. What is the Big 5?
Adobe has five very, very important products in their product suite, and these folks basically decompiled it, distilled it, and published open source versions of these things.
I was so shocked because I was like, ‘Hold on a second. These are profound products that have existed and have had moats for years, and now they're just open source versions.’
If you think about it, when everything is headless, so when Elon makes his services headless, Benioff made Salesforce headless a few months earlier, when all of these things are headless and you can wrap them in agent tools and you can connect them via MCP to other experiences, the value of IP no longer exists in software. It doesn't exist.”
I have been applying to jobs heavily recently
similar to how companies used to(till now) hire engineers based on Leetcode irrespective of skills
many are now hiring engineers specifically who can vibe code and build products faster, but knowledge about the next stack is a must
this is definitely going to be the breakthrough moment for porn
The whole point of building Tavus has been simple: talking to a machine should feel as natural as talking to a friend or coworker.
It’s hard to describe all the tiny nuances that make a conversation feel human. The little expressions. Moving around in your chair. Knowing when to speak and when to listen. The dance of it all.
Griffin is by far the closest anyone has come to a model that can capture those nuances. The first time I saw it being used, I had no idea I was watching our model rather than just a normal video call.
I’m so incredibly proud of this team and what they’ve built.
Being calm while watching years of ur experience getting obsolete requires a monk's mind
