hello @base. I heard someone needed a hero
day 1 of unleashing the crypto floodgates

base:0xb2000000000000000000007bf6d5cbb0e24cb301 and the culture pivot happening in plain sight
tldr: the CEO of a publicly traded $50B company just made a memecoin of himself his face on the internet, and it wasn't an accident, it was the last step of a sequence that started weeks ago. base:0xb2000000000000000000007bf6d5cbb0e24cb301 at 11m is not a memecoin bet, it's a bet that @coinbase finally understood the game
every chain that won this cycle had a culture coin that became the identity of the ecosystem. the culture coin isn't just a memecoin, it's the front door, it's the reason a normie downloads a wallet, figures out bridging, and makes their first onchain transaction
@base never got one. $TOSHI, $BRETT, they all had moments, all pumped to hundreds of millions, all faded. and here's the detail everyone forgets: they did those numbers with zero interaction from @brian_armstrong. not one reply, not one like, nothing. Brian has never complied with a memecoin in his life. that was the missing ingredient every single time
until 19 hours ago
but the PFP is not the story. the story is the sequence:
@jessepollak admits the social strategy on @baseapp fell short and hands the app to @cobie. cobie, the most respected native voice in crypto, stops playing Factorio to lead @coinbase and @base products. @base pivots the whole app to trading
meanwhile, Ansem writes the memo of the cycle, the mayor and the nightclub, memecoins as the same intangible value that made Bitcoin and Ethereum the top two assets, $BONK as the thing that revitalized @solana at the lows. @brian_armstrong replies "makes sense to me!" then quotes it again: "this part is key." then he follows @blknoiz06
then someone makes fun of Brian's old pfp, @cobie sends Brian the tweet, and hours later brian is 'Coinbase Man', a comic cover that literally says "cryptocurrency for all" and "brian armstrong unleashes the crypto floodgates"
@jessepollak's reply: "lol right after i told people you would never" and @brian_armstrong's replies: "good way to get me to do something lol"
read that last line again. the CEO of @coinbase just told the timeline he responds to community pressure. that's the entire game theory of base:0xb2000000000000000000007bf6d5cbb0e24cb301 in one sentence. the community pushes, he engages, the coin grows, the engagement compounds. reflexivity with a $50B company on the other side of it
and this man does not change his pfp. he kept the last one for 5 years while the whole timeline begged him to drop it. when he commits to a face, he keeps it. right now that face is a meme, and there is exactly one coin attached to it
the numbers as i write this: 10,000+ holders, people bridging back to @base specifically for this, almost $100M in volume in a day, bottomed at 7.5m, sitting at ~10M. the only meme to ever get the coinbase CEO's interaction, the one he made his literal face, is priced at 11 million dollars. coinbase has 100M+ verified users who have never been onchain. the clarity act is coming and brian is about to be the most visible man in american crypto. that's the asymmetry, you don't need a calculator for it
$DOGE worked because @elonmusk kept tweeting. $BONK worked because @solana rallied around it at the bottom. base:0xb2000000000000000000007bf6d5cbb0e24cb301 works if brian keeps showing up. he doesn't need to shill, he doesn't need price targets, he just needs to stay 'Coinbase Man', and let the meme do what memes do when the founder of the chain is visibly paying attention
now the real part, because @base doesn't get infinite chances. the community watched the pump and dumps, the creator coin charts that all died the same death. trust on @base is thin. if the CEO's own coin gets the PFP treatment and then goes to zero off an extraction play, nobody comes back again. this is either the moment @base finally gets its culture coin, or the last chance getting wasted. the opportunity is massive, the margin for error is zero
my first bids were because i thought he'd push. i'm bidding now because i know it's his pfp, and once it gets big enough, they will fully embrace it
slowly, then all at once, base:0xb2000000000000000000007bf6d5cbb0e24cb301 is the ultimate @base culture coin

One tweet from @brian_armstrong and base:0xb2000000000000000000007bf6d5cbb0e24cb301 goes $50m in a candle - up to them from there if they really want to full send it to $500m +

bull case for $BRIAN
- internet consensus is $BRIAN is down only - @brian_armstrong put it as his PFP and that’s the ultimate catalyst
- cabals always do an 80–90% retrace so they can accumulate more tokens and shake out weak hands
- can’t believe Base will let this go to 0
in a war between Ansem, CZ, and cashcat
Brian is the worst performer
attention is not there yet

ok lemme get this straight.

.@brian_armstrong aka “coinbase man” billionaire, ceo and founder of @coinbase’s coin base:0xb2000000000000000000007bf6d5cbb0e24cb301 is at 15m mcap.
yea send $BRIAN it to billions.

Clarification on base:0xb2000000000000000000007bf6d5cbb0e24cb301 vs base:0xe2d5bd0d349057d77fcd2fa5b690161336ebe999
There is debate as to whether base:0xe2d5bd0d349057d77fcd2fa5b690161336ebe999 is the "original artists" coin. First, @TimDraper posted that artwork on Nov 20, 2025. Whereas @Mr_Lightspeed did not launch the ZORA coin until Jan of 2026. If that is not enough @Mr_Lightspeed even credits Draper in the bio of the launched coin. Now imo base:0xb2000000000000000000007bf6d5cbb0e24cb301 has a much better setup to be a runner on base and we should eliminate the PVP as soon as possible, but the market will decide e

This guy is lying, don't fall for it.
Original comic made on: Nov 25
This guy launched his Zora on: Jan 26
He just stole the content from Tim Draper and now trying to benefit from it.
Here is the original post.

Nothing would make me happier than to see all the fakes, knock-offs, scammers, and so on get dumped in favor of the one guy that saw this coming 7 months ago.
Yes, that's me in tribute of Tim Draper, because I give credit where credit is due.
This industry is just full of knockoffs.

$BRIAN is the ultimate coin to onboard the masses to @base and here's why @brian_armstrong should lean into it
every chain that won this cycle had one thing in common: a culture coin that became the identity of the ecosystem. solana had $BONK. hyperliquid has $PURR. ethereum has $PEPE. the culture coin isn't just a memecoin. it's the front door. it's the reason normies download a wallet, figure out how to bridge, and make their first onchain transaction
@base doesn't have that coin yet
@brian_armstrong just changed his PFP. that's not nothing. that's the CEO of a $50B+ publicly traded company (the company that built @base) putting a memecoin as his face on the most public platform in the world. coinbase has 100M+ verified users. @brian_armstrong has millions of followers. when he changes his PFP, people who don't know what a blockchain is see it
and that's the thesis. $BRIAN isn't a memecoin for degens. $BRIAN is the coin that makes a coinbase user say "what's that" and click. then they find out it's on @base. then they download a wallet. then they make their first swap. then they're onchain 💎
that's the onboarding funnel every chain is desperate for. and it's sitting right there attached to the name of the guy who runs the biggest crypto company in america
think about what happened when @elonmusk put a Shiba Inu as his PFP. think about what happened when CZ started interacting with #BNB chain memecoins. the CEO IS the distribution. their attention is the most valuable thing in the ecosystem. and @brian_armstrong just pointed his attention at $BRIAN
now the question: does he lean in or does he let this moment pass?
because the math is simple. 100M coinbase users who've never been onchain. a coin named after the founder. the founder publicly repping it. a chain that desperately needs its culture moment. all the pieces are there
$DOGE worked because @elonmusk kept tweeting. $BONK worked because the @solana community rallied. $BRIAN works if @brian_armstrong keeps showing up. one PFP change is the spark. what comes after determines whether base finally gets its culture coin or fumbles it again
@brian_armstrong doesn't need to shill it. he doesn't need to post price targets. he just needs to keep it as his PFP, interact with the community occasionally, and let the memecoin do what memecoins do when the founder of the chain is visibly paying attention
every other CEO in crypto would kill for this setup. a coin named after you, organically created by your community, on the chain you built, while you run a company with 100M users who could all be onboarded through it
the playbook is right there. the timeline is watching. the coin is at $25M. 100M potential users on the other side
@brian_armstrong the trenches are asking: are you in or are you changing the PFP back next week?

this is the move that matters more than any @base update, any partnership, any product launch
whoever wins the memes wins the distribution. and whoever wins the distribution wins everything. @solana understood this. @HyperliquidX understood this. the CEO of coinbase changing his pfp to a memecoin is him finally understanding it too
memes are how you get people to care. people who care become users. users become builders. builders become an ecosystem. it all starts with attention and memes are the cheapest attention in crypto
but here's the honest part @brian_armstrong, this cannot get fumbled
@base has already burned through an insane amount of trust. the pump and dumps. jesse's coin. the community watched multiple cycles of "this time it's different on @base" followed by the exact same p&d playbook every time
if $BRIAN gets the PFP treatment from the CEO himself and then the chart goes to zero because nobody follows through, i don't think people come back, specially after @RobinhoodApp and @vladtenev supporting memes. the trust is already thin. one more fumble and @base becomes the chain people reference when they explain why they don't trade on L2s
this is either the moment base finally gets its culture coin and the chain turns around, or it's the last chance getting wasted
the opportunity is massive. the margin for error is zero
don't fumble this one, $BRIAN
