I am always grateful for anybody giving me the time of day, though I wish y'alls would've been around for me talking about Kanamemo. But beggars can't be choosers I s'ppose, and folks like to complain. (Myself included)

What I find interesting about the argument "come to Japan if you want Japanese products" is that I am in Japan right now, and I can't even make online purchases just by living here. I have to use a proxy service for Yahoo Auctions because they require a JP phone number.

It's still hard for me to think about what to say on this. Maeda-sensei's struggles in the last decade of feeling like his best work is behind him is one that has greatly resonated with me. Ultimately even after he took a step back, he returned to writing, which is admirable.
We would like to share an important announcement concerning our creator, Jun Maeda. For details, please refer to the attachments.

One time I told my video editing professor that I was scared of sharing my opinions online because I didn't want people to hate me. He thought I was talking about politics, and when I clarified it was my opinions on cartoons, he laughed at me.

I gotta tell you, I don't know if it's my insecurity showing but I feel like people in Japan are laughing at me behind my back a lot.

Welp I can't even blame him. He's living the dream.

There is a commercial playing on the subway promoting the final two eps of Bleach that goes over all the arcs and I notice they completely skipped the Fullbring arc for some reason.

It's been getting really lonely in Japan. I think I need to put myself out there more again.

I get really annoyed when certain people on here will bull crap about the Japanese language, and say stuff like "you can reach N1 level in a year". I'm sorry to say this, but almost nobody is going to be able to live up to those utterly unrealistic expectations.

I had a dream just now that I went to this restaurant in Japan where you could request anime songs off a jukebox and it would have a visual from the show attached to it. So someone requested a song from Beatmaster Males, this 2003 magical girl kids anime with Doremi looking

how to pronounce the title because it was in katakana as メールズ so I thought they were saying "Mails". The song requested was also this instrumental, and I didn't see the anime visual at first, so a friend I was eating with thought it was Harvest Moon 64 for some reason. When

I was searching for it, there was like this 60 year old office lady telling me about it and I had to say "Sorry we didn't get that show in America". Now I just woke up and am disappointed to learn this isn't a real show.

The Chiikawa movie was a bit sad. I will have to familiarize myself with the show at some point. They gave me a little goodie alongside attending the showing (I got the Seiren), which is rad considering I am kinda late to seeing this.

I have grown to dislike looking at numerical metrics for success because it makes me feel as if that is my cap: like that is the best I can do. I do wonder what exactly my limit is, and if I have already come pretty close to my peak both as a person and as a creator, which

is pretty difficult for me to sit with. Though I also don't really have a right to complain, especially when my work ethic is so lacking, and even the small amount I've been able to achieve is better than others. Just late night, early morning thoughts for me I s'ppose.
