ALT The frame is filled with over 200 birds in flight, flying from left to right of frame. Dark grey above and paler below they can almost disappear as the flock turns in unison, but come back into view as the light catches the underside.

ALT Two Grey Seals, their heads partially above the water. The smaller and paler female is to left of centre with head pointing slightly to right of camera whilst the eyes look directly into the lens. The larger and darker bull to the right has its head in profile as it nuzzles the side of the females head.

ALT A Shoveler drake stretches upright from the water with wings held back, a yellow eye stands out from the dark green head above a white neck with chestnut breast below.

ALT A Robin that has just landed on a round wooden fence post, the foot nearest the camera of this left facing bird grips the top edge of the post, whilst the other hangs in mid-air. Droplets of water from the constant drizzle bead on top of head and back, the background is a diffuse beige of out of focus Autumn vegetation with little tonal shift over the frame.
