You and a friend decide to split a pizza. There are eight slices. You each get four.
That's not MLB's "50/50" revenue split. MLB's proposing they just get to call some of the slices "non-pizza" and only *then* split the pizza. So they get 5 or 6 slices and you get 2 or 3.

Can we please not lose baseball in 2027. Can someone please make the owners not be such fucking losers.
Announcer on the Royals broadcast just referred to Salvador Perez as a future Hall of Famer???
League average hitter for his career, poor defender, what on earth are we talking about here?

If you look at those probabilities and think "yeah, nobody's hitting 20 HRs," I recommend you never, ever play games of chance.
I’m gonna push back on the idea that a completely lost 2027 due to lockout and taking until ~2032 to rebuild fan interest would “enhance the value” of his franchise.

We’ve already changed the rules of baseball for him specifically (he gets to stay in the game as DH even after being pulled as a pitcher). He shouldn’t *also* get more warmup/recovery time than any other pitcher.
He’s the GOAT, we don’t need to give him extra advantages.
The Toronto Blue Jays appear to still be agitated by at least one thing from last year’s World Series: how long it takes Shohei Ohtani to warm up when he’s on the mound.
