SIDs have been hung out to dry.
They're insanely overworked, almost always underpaid, severely underfunded, and almost never given enough staff to do they job theyve veen asked to do. They're then offered whats billed as a lifeline in AI. So they take it. And it helps, i wont pretend it doesn't.
But its a bandaid for the real problem. The SIDs are constantly forced to play cleanup with the mess their ADs give them to work with. The problems start with the things I mentioned above.
1. Youre not getting a funding increase. Its not happening. Go to any and every department head you can and get an internship program setup. If you dont have one, you and/or your admin are not taking athletics seriously enough.
2. Instead of using an AI tool, go to the math or comp departments and have them write you a program for data scraping and analysis. It wont use AI and therefore wont have any upkeep or infrastructure cost outside what your computer uses.
3. Yes, students can be unreliable, but that's just part of it. Hire student interns until you have enough ti where they can all.essentially function part-time so they still have time for their classes and studies.
4. If you're a large university, this gets a lot simpler. Pay your employees a fair living wage and give them the support they need.
And no, that support is NOT some AI tool that a math student could have done in an afternoon or less for Free.99.
Ive already been unfollowed for saying all of this and I get why but frankly if youre not willing to look at a problem from every angle then you're not really trying to solve the problem.

On Saturday there was:
a cycle (Harper)
a 3-HR game (Schwarber)
a 2-HR inning (Schwarber)
a walkoff HR (Albies)
a leadoff inside-the-park HR (McCarthy)
a grand slam (Buxton)
a 10-run inning (Twins)
Never in MLB history had more than 4 of those 7 feats occurred on the same day.

BLOODSPORT (1988) basically created the blueprint for a generation of tournament movies and fighting games. The Kumite, the rivalries, Bolo Yeung stealing every scene he’s in. So much of the genre spent the next few decades borrowing from it.

A 78 pitch pitch complete game with just 11 balls thrown in the year of our Lord 2026 is absolutely INSANE.
Here's how @MichaelSharman7 closed out his C0MPLETE GAME (9 innings) performance on only 78 pitches with 67 strikes. 👏 💪
