馃 Today鈥檚 Class C State Softball Championship ceremonial first pitch was thrown by Wayne High School alum, Tori Kniesche! Tori led Wayne to back-to-back state titles (Class C in 2018, Class B in 2019) and was a two-time All-Nebraska pick. With the Blue Devils she won 68 games, struck out 1,229 batters and posted a career 0.66 ERA. She also set four Class B state pitching records, including 21 career no-hitters and 121.2 straight scoreless innings. At South Dakota State she was a two-time Summit League Pitcher of the Year, 2022 Summit League Tournament MVP, and became SDSU鈥檚 all-time leader in wins, shutouts, strikeouts and ERA.
