CIVILITY IS NOT WEAKNESS. ENOUGH OF THE HARASSMENT OF MY SUPPORTERS. RELEASE RILWAN OLAWALE NOW.
The continued intimidation and harassment of my supporters across the country, the latest being the case of Rilwan Olawale, is disturbing and unacceptable.
President Bola Tinubu has remained a huge beneficiary of our democracy and should not brazenly be destroying it by encouraging and facilitating violence.
Our campaign is peaceful and issue-driven, focused on offering Nigerians a credible alternative built on competence, accountability, justice, and compassion.
We have chosen the path of peace, not violence; persuasion, not intimidation. However, nobody should mistake our civility for weakness, our restraint for fear, or our commitment to peace for an absence of resolve. We will not be intimidated into silence, nor will we abandon Nigerians who believe in a New Nigeria that is possible and will be OK.
I therefore demand transparency regarding Rilwan Olawale’s arrest, his release, respect for his rights, and an end to politically motivated harassment. No government or political party has the right to deny Nigerians the freedom to support a candidate of their choice.
We will remain peaceful but resolute. We will not resort to violence, but we will stand firmly and lawfully against every attempt to undermine our democratic rights.
A New Nigeria is POssible and will be OK. -PO

What is stopping you as a concerned citizen, from opening up a free hospital and funding it?
Employ a team of healthcare workers and run this service that accepted all patients without any kind of payment.
That should be the right call instead of trying to guilt trip healthcare workers who are victims of the same system. The same system you are conveniently refusing to call out here to do their duties.
Walk the talk. Open a free hospital. Rally your friends and colleagues together. Put body.
Lmao Because healthcare workers live only to serve
The drugs and medications pay for themselves
Someone will pay 500k for makeup
But if I ask for that one for a live saving procedure it becomes too much

Alex Onyia @winexviv,
As a family member of a Nigerian Dentist,
Who earned N500,000 as a Consultant,
You know firsthand, what HCWs suffer.
2025: you were quite vocal.
2026: you no longer understand why Doctors & Nurses can’t afford to offer free care to patients.
What changed?

I am now inclined to believe the government is sponsoring an agenda against HCWs

There is no place in the world where Healthcare is free.
every time, someone within or at the end of the spectrum is paying whether government, private individual, donors, NGO etc
We need to understand that hospital care is not equivalent to free care, setting up a hospital requires funding and a continual pool of funds to sustain care.
Hospitals ( except where stated) are not charity based faith organisations that run on a pool of donor funds.
Passion won't pay the bills of the Healthcare workers, Passion won't restock medical supplies if you decide to do pro-bono care, NO. Money is the Engine.
when we have discourses like these, it is good to tackle the horse before the cart and not Vice versa.
A flip question
"Why will Chicken Republic and Bukka Hut refuse to serve food to hungry customers who come to the restaurant without money to pay for food, that is unfair to humanity"
There is no where in medical ethics that proscribe medicine as free care.
what we should be talking about is how do we subsidize care and make it more accessible for the common man.
This is where we take the fight to the government.
HEALTH INSURANCE is a big way forward
for a country that is over 200 million, less than 5 % of people have insurance. In a country where poverty figures are at an all tine high, how will people afford health care?
Do we expect hospitals that spend their monies to establish facilities to start charity. NO
First, Mandate every Nigerian to have health insurance.
foster public and private partnerships.
Institute health policies that give hospitals lower running costs and taxes.
create a supply chain system where medical consumables are cheaper and more accessible.
Revamp and rehabilitate PHCs.
With these little fixes, watch the narrative change.
but till then, the issue of not accessing care due to poverty will still linger.
Long read I know. but it is good it is explicit.
Thanks
Naaah, I can't be finishing the longest antenatal clinic day of my life and coming to this app to see this..
I am too tired for this post.
Let me just focus on this preterm contraction.
What a country.

We genuinely do not give Arsenal the respect they deserve.
Barcelona fooled the world by stat-padding against La Liga bottom-feeders, only to completely crumble the second they faced two serious teams in PSG and Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, Arsenal is forced to play high-intensity football against elite opposition week in and week out.
They survived the toughest gauntlet in the world to win the Premier League and nearly took the UCL and most importantly, Arteta built this empire completely legally without cooking the books.
Right now, Arsenal is the best team in Europe. Not Barca, not even PSG.

For Carrick too, surely.
But has any United manager in history ever had to work with a more gutless shower of lazy, entitled, whiny wastrels?
