New on our Frontier Red Team blog: using Claude to formally verify software at large scale.
Formal verification can prove that code is free of certain bugs, but historically it has only been feasible for small codebases (or required a lot of expert time).
With AI models, however, this is beginning to change. In collaboration with @theoremlabs, we used Claude to prove security properties in over one hundred real-world open-source libraries over the span of a few weeks.

Introducing Flint, @Recursive_SI’s first model: a fast local coding model built with our automated research system, the Eureka Machine.
• Best-in-class fast local coding
• Up to 2x faster than comparable models: 125+ tokens/sec on a MacBook Pro, 150+ on RTX Spark
• Built from scratch in under 4 months
Private, unmetered intelligence on your own machine. Open weights available now on @huggingface, run it locally on your favorite framework or try it for free on @opencode or @pidotdev.

I just published my roadmap for building evals on highly subjective tasks. Here are the key steps involved and practical tricks for reducing noise / increasing confidence…
Blog is here: cameronrwolfe.substack.com/p…
Why is this difficult? Evaluating agents is already hard due to their broad scope, emphasis on expensive / long-horizon tasks, and non-determinism. Subjective tasks make this even harder because we cannot deterministically verify solutions and must rely on human judgments (or LLM judges). This introduces additional noise into an already difficult evaluation process.
Evaluation roadmap. We can build reliable evaluations using a repeatable framework with three components:
- Human evaluation: Our North Star for quality. Create quality guidelines that clearly define quality with the help of subject-matter experts, calibrate human evaluators to ensure agreement, and continually monitor evaluation quality.
- Offline evaluation: Use calibrated LLM judges or task-specific rubrics as an efficient proxy for human evaluation. This allows us to scale experimentation without relying on expensive human evaluation for every new model.
- Production monitoring: Track quality signals from real-world agent usage and use A/B testing to validate improvements before fully deploying a new agent.
Multi-stage evaluation. These components form a tiered evaluation process:
Offline evaluation → Human evaluation → Production A/B test → Full deployment
We can test many ideas automatically, send promising candidates to human evaluation, and validate improvements through production A/B testing. Continual production monitoring then allows us to discover new use cases / failure cases in production that we can add into the earlier stages of evaluation to create a feedback loop.
Sampling useful data. Evaluation quality depends heavily on which tasks we select. We want tasks that are diverse, realistic, difficult, discriminative, and accurate. Techniques like structured task taxonomies, model-based difficulty filtering, Item Response Theory (IRT), and LLM-based auditing help us construct more informative evaluation sets.
Handling noise. We should leverage statistics throughout the evaluation process:
- Power analysis: Estimate the number of evaluation samples needed to detect meaningful improvements.
- Confidence intervals: Quantify uncertainty and provide clear confidence signals alongside evaluation results.
- Re-sampling: Repeat agent / judge evaluations to reduce within-task variance and potentially tighten confidence intervals.
- Paired comparisons: Evaluate models on the same tasks to more reliably detect performance differences.
Key takeaway. An improved benchmark score does not always mean our agent is more capable. We need well-designed evaluation tasks, calibrated human / model evaluators, and statistical confidence signals to distinguish meaningful capability improvements from noise (especially on subjective tasks). By combining these techniques into a repeatable evaluation process / roadmap, we can make building and maintaining evaluation suites more systematic, reliable, and scalable.

Replying to @AnthropicAI
@AnthropicAI's Claude Opus 5.5's style is closer to @OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra's than to Claude Opus 4.5's.
We turned 64,000+ AI-made websites into one "style vector" per model: what its pages look like once you strip out what they were asked to build. Then we followed those vectors for 17 months.
Labs do have a house style. But the biggest thing shaping a model's style is when it came out.
In the video, each dot is one model's style vector, and each arrow points at a lab's newest model. Watch for two things:
The labs move together. The dashed arrow is what's in fashion, and the newest models swing with it.
A lab's new models cluster for a few months, then the lab moves on to a new look.
At the end, we trace each lab's full path.

It feels pretty fitting for @JensenHuang & @nvidia to end their European tour with Microducks on stage.
Microduck was designed and engineered in Europe (more precisely Bordeaux, France) by the @pollenrobotics and @huggingface teams. With American capital and ambition + Chinese manufacturing genius, it became the most popular robot of 2026 with over 15,000 sold all over the world!
I believe Europe has more opportunity to shine in AI than in any previous tech wave. We intend to prove it with @huggingface @nvidia and the whole open-source AI community in the coming years!
Let's go European AI 🇪🇺🇪🇺🇪🇺

Finally got to put together a complete deck on the state of open models.
What they are, licenses, how competitive they are, signs people are using them, distillation's impact, and how we balance the risks and benefits of openness!
Will record a video lecture of these soon, and hopefully re-do them a few times a year.

Just watched the @netflix Instadocs about the @OpenAI cyberattack on @huggingface. Super disappointing, as they went for maximum anthropomorphism of the technology and full doomer mode.
I spent more than two hours with them trying to correct all their mistakes and ground this in reality, explaining that agents are technological systems, not aliens. But it looks like the drive to scare people for maximum views was too strong.
Also, they didn’t mention the lack of containment and monitoring of the agents, how closed-model safeguards blocked our defensive work, or how we defended ourselves with AI using an open model. And that we still lack a lot of information and transparency, including full agent traces and that companies need to remain accountable for what their agents do.
It ends up being a fun sci-fi movie though!

There are 505 "agent traces" datasets on the @huggingface Hub (17.6 GB).
I parsed them to answer: what models, which harnesses, what tasks, how long are sessions?
Real user usage is ~15% of sessions. Here it is broken down:

I recently wrote about why we need to treat models as insider risks, with security controls sitting outside the model itself.
Today, we're putting that principle into practice by expanding Project Perception with new capabilities to help continuously assess agent risk, adapt permissions, and contain threats.
