lots of people larp about civil war here in the U.S. like it wouldn’t be an absolute nightmare. it wouldn’t be like go to war during the day and come home after your shift is over. it wouldn’t be Ukraine where the front is fairly well defined either. there wouldn’t be a “rear” to retreat to. it would be like Syria or the cartel wars with a healthy dose of the National Guard smashing anything that moves. never mind what the rest of the world does. you think China would sit it out and go about their business? what happens to South Korea? Japan? what would happen if the world reserve currency holder slipped into civil war? what do you think the rest of the world would do if the country with the most advanced nuclear arsenal didn’t have a rock solid grip on those weapons? just because you’re really mad at your political opposition doesn’t mean you, or anyone else, wants that smoke here in the U.S. stop playin.

I understand being skeptical of the fearmongering but being so against being somewhat self-sufficient is bot behavior

The replies to this post perfectly encapsulates how financially illiterate the average person is. They assume that if you have a credit card, you have to be paying interest. This means their only experience with a credit card is using it then not paying it off.

🚨 BALTIMORE CRAB CAKE INSTITUTION PAPPAS SOLD TO NEW YORK FINANCIAL TECHNOLOGY COMPANY AFTER 50 YEARS Pappas Seafood Co., a Maryland institution famous for its crab cakes, has been sold to New York-based Teamshares for an undisclosed amount, ending decades of family ownership. ▪️ NEW OWNER: Teamshares acquires small businesses with a stated goal of transitioning ownership to employees. ▪️ EMPLOYEE OWNERSHIP: Workers receive an initial 10% stake. Teamshares aims for 80% employee ownership within 20 years. ▪️ FIVE LOCATIONS: The deal includes Pappas’ restaurant and seafood operations, including its Perry Hall distribution facility. ▪️ FAMILY TRANSITION: Steve Pappas will remain involved during the transition, potentially retiring within two years. ▪️ WHAT CHANGES: Teamshares plans to appoint a new president, improve operations and pursue profitability. Pappas says customers should expect the same restaurants and crab cakes. The real test: Can a national investment company preserve the quality and identity that made this family-owned Maryland business successful? SOURCE: The Baltimore Banner, October 19, 2026.

Debit cards vs credit cards is a very good barometer to measure the financial literacy of the avg American. The financially illiterate come up with countless reasons for why they need to use a debit card as seen in the replies. Rent vs own has less insight and is more personal but debit vs credit tells you how retarded one is right away.
