i would like to announce that i'm building a fully reusable SHLV: the shitfuck-500. it should launch from my backyard net tomorrow. its just a bunch of metal tubes welded together, how hard can it be? anyway, here's my first very accurate technical render:
2028? Come on. What is it with these companies that think they can just conjure a new large rocket out of thin air in two years.

This clearly illustrates that they're planning a launch cadence of up to four CZ-10 launches per year, which, after 2029, would likely translate into two crewed lunar landings per year. That's just as ambitious as NASA's current plans for Artemis.
Chinese Crewed Lunar Program launch planning according to official statements. CMSA plans to launch at least 2 LEO Mengzhou on CZ-10A as well as 2 Lunar Mengzhou & 3 Lanyue on CZ-10 to land 2 astronauts on the moon before 2030. Additional verification flights may be planned.

Talarico: I was a fan of Elon Musk. I’m a big fan of SpaceX and Tesla. He is a great business leader and entrepreneur and innovator. I want him to stick to those things. I will stand up to Elon when he tries to buy our government. But I will work with him when it comes to technology and innovation.

Mf do you KNOW what laws he broke??? He used a government agency to steam peoples private data and then cut funding to USAID leading to the deaths of as little as 700 THOUSAND people (mostly kids). This had nothing to do with fucking spaceX.

This dude is fucking pathetic lol
Elon isn't a politician. Gebbia isn't a politician, Fauci isn't a politician, people who work for the government aren't politicians. Elon didn't lose his mind nor did he choose to become a politician (he isn't). He also doesn't spend most of his time on politics. He was the head of a successful initiative that was sadly attacked from all sides. Some people even attacked other people or property who were not even related to anything DOGE. He was attacked by real politicians because it was so successful in doing its job. Elon is simply a person who devotes his undivided attention to whatever thing is blocking progress the most at the time. And at that time, there was a clear blocker. The government at the time was very clear about it too. Stop Elon and his companies in whatever way you can. Luckily for him, America is a great country, and he can do something about it. Does that suddenly mean he needs to be investigated like crazy? Why are we not seeing Bloomber being investigated? Or Hoffman? Or Horrowitz? Or Soros? It doesn't matter what they investigate anyways, it's ultra clear that it is simply "show me the man, I'll show you the crime" Elon is SpaceX best asset, similar for Tesla. Investors know this, people who follow the company know this, people with 2 braincells know this! It's only those that are blinded by hatred that want to see something else. Anyways, it all doesn't matter too much. Tesla succeeded in it's goal of transitioning the world to electric transport, SpaceX made space affordable. The next steps will be even crazier and I'm here for it.

These accounts feeding half of Nigeria with this slop is one of the most unexpected consequences of the AI Boom I could think of.

There is a tiny but comically interesting chance of Artemis IV getting delayed to 2029 and China hitting their current goal, resulting in both nations landing on the Moon just days apart.
It seems like China could actually land on the Moon in 2029 if further delays don't screw up progress with these new goals. They have abandoned the plan for the Apollo 8 type mission in 2028 with Mengzhou in low lunar orbit with a new milestone timeline of unmanned Mengzhou flights on CZ-10A to Tiangong --> manned flights on CZ-10A to Tiangong --> unmanned test flights to the Moon with tricore CZ-10 --> their first manned landing

Trying to watch Starship flight 142 in the year 2059 (They are still trying to catch the ship) and it genuinley explodes on the pad but your 40 second lunch break at your unpaid OpenAI "job" is over so you kinda just gotta forget about it

Hull 3, a Haven-1 qualification primary structure, is complete. We manufactured, inspected, and proof tested it in-house in Long Beach in five months, four months faster than Hull 2, the flight structure. Hull 4 is next, allowing us to further refine our process.

Lots of people think that SpaceX has to develop the clamshell door to start launching larger payload into space, but this is simply not true. They could take the pez door and make it taller while keeping the same opening mechanism, a 7×7 m door could accommodate 99% of payloads.
The payload bay isn’t this black magic thing that everyone says it is, SpaceX also already has a contract to deploy Superbird 9 on Starship Also the same payload bay door design will be used for cargo HLS which they’re already targeting landing missions starting in 2028…

Here the question is if is worth it for SpaceX to launch less Starlink/Starshields/Starmind/Starfall satellites in exchange for a third-party payload. The answer probably depends on the specific payload, but my bet is that this will be common enough to justify this mix.

The third party payload would occupy as much volume as 16 - 20 Starlink satellites, so as long as the payload is worth more than that, it makes sense to apply this system.
