99% of 2k players are casual and sway towards the sim/realism style of play so 2k has no issues nerfing comp players and removing "metas" Because comp players spend so much time mastering 2k they will always be good and master the game. which leads to alot of resentment from others and hate/envy in my decade+ of playing high level 2k i have never seen a comp player attack a sim/realism player unprovoked (99% of the community is sim so we respect the majority) comp players get attacked 24/7, we get told we are losers, have no iq, cant hoop irl etc etc

Mike wang and 2k devs can add 10,000 animations and people will still only use 5 of the same animations at the highest level. The high level of 2k play has defensive nerds/ defensive geniuses that have a counter for everything you want to do, so you need to have the best moves that get you open going forward, backwards, to the side etc. Against the best defenders you aren’t going to use the worst moves; you need to counter the best defenders. That’s why when I laugh when pass first pgs argue with me on here. Jboolin and top pfs can play Multiple lanes at once and they give you the 50/50 shots and the deep 3s and the pass first pgs in rec have never experienced that kind of defense before .
