Around 11.1 million $BTC or roughly 55% of Bitcoin’s total mined supply of 20.1 million coins, sits in wallets that Galaxy Research cannot attribute to any known exchange, fund, government or other identified entity. Despite growing institutional adoption, individuals may still control a significant share of Bitcoin through self custody. Galaxy Research head Alex Thorn argues that the data highlights a key feature of Bitcoin: more than half of its supply remains in addresses without a known owner. However, the figure doesn’t necessarily represent active individual holders. It may also include lost coins, unidentified institutional holdings, early mined BTC, and assets spread across complex custody arrangements. The remaining 45% includes known holdings linked to exchanges, spot Bitcoin ETFs, the U.S. government, and early miners. Galaxy separately tracks approximately 1.12 million BTC attributed to the Patoshi mining pattern associated with Bitcoin’s creator, Satoshi Nakamoto. The bigger picture? Bitcoin may be attracting Wall Street, but its ownership landscape remains remarkably opaque. Institutions are entering the market, yet a huge portion of Bitcoin’s supply remains beyond clearly identified ownership.

The future of Web3 isnt just about owning digital assets. Its about what you can build, create and contribute to an ecosystem. 👀 This is where @0xhazels stands out. With Hazels Studio, creators have a place to participate in campaigns, share their content and build their presence through meaningful contributions. The ecosystem also connects digital collectibles, community engagement and AI driven innovation through initiatives like Pulse, Drops and Azura SI. What makes this approach interesting is the combination of creative IP and creator participation. Hazels is working toward an ecosystem where the community can do more than simply watch from the sidelines. As the project continues to develop, the real question is how these different products will come together and create lasting value for creators and collectors. I’m keeping an eye on Hazels and its next steps. The evolution of this ecosystem will be worth watching.

Hazels is building an ecosystem that goes far beyond digital collectibles. By bringing together NFTs, creator campaigns, community engagement and AI powered innovation, @0xhazels is exploring new ways for people to participate in and contribute to a growing digital universe. Through Hazels Studio, creators can take part in campaigns, publish content, complete tasks and build their presence within the ecosystem. Pulse introduces new opportunities for creators to collaborate with projects, while Drops focuses on digital collectible launches and community access. The ecosystem also extends into Azura SI, reflecting Hazels’ broader vision of combining AI and digital experiences. Alongside its anime-inspired IP, the project is exploring opportunities that connect digital ownership with physical collectibles and future products. What makes this approach interesting is the focus on community participation. Instead of simply holding an NFT, users can explore different ways to contribute, engage and potentially access new opportunities as the ecosystem develops. Hazels is bringing multiple ideas under one roof and it will be interesting to see how these products evolve and connect over time. The journey is just getting started.

Franklin Templeton has added approximately $150 million worth of shares from its tokenized money market fund, sgBENJI, to the XRP Ledger. With this move, the total amount of sgBENJI on the network has reached nearly 193 million shares, bringing its value to approximately $200 million based on the recorded transaction price. One detail stands out: all shares are held in a single wallet. This wallet shares the same eight signing addresses as Franklin Templeton’s issuing account. However, it remains unclear whether the wallet represents a single investor or multiple clients. sgBENJI represents tokenized shares in a fund that invests in short term U.S. dollar debt instruments and money market assets. However, the issuer retains control mechanisms that allow it to approve, freeze, or recover tokens. As the tokenization of real world assets continues to gain momentum, this expansion on the XRP Ledger highlights growing institutional interest in blockchain based financial infrastructure. But there is an important distinction: Growth in token supply does not necessarily mean growth in the number of investors or broader adoption.

Bitcoin is becoming more stable, but how does it compare with traditional assets? According to CoinDesk, Bitcoin’s 90 day realized volatility stood at around 38%, compared with: 🔹Gold: 23.5% 🔸 S&P 500: 11% 🔹EUR/USD: 4.6% 🔸Nvidia (NVDA): 37% Bitcoin is now nearly as volatile as Nvidia, but it remains more than 3x as volatile as the S&P 500 and roughly 8x as volatile as EUR/USD. The improvement is still significant. Since January 2020, Bitcoin’s 90 day volatility has averaged around 58%, peaking at 134% in June 2020. Its lowest reading was approximately 27.5% in September 2025. The takeaway? Bitcoin is maturing into an asset that increasingly resembles a major technology stock. However, it still has a long way to go before matching the stability of gold, equities and especially traditional currencies. For investors, lower volatility could strengthen Bitcoin’s role in diversified portfolios but its risk profile remains fundamentally different from traditional stores of value and fiat currencies.

HEBC is bringing stablecoin payments to the mainstream with the launch of RedCoin, its first Hong Kong dollar backed stablecoin, on PayMe. The rollout will give 3.3M+ PayMe users the ability to send money to friends and family and make payments at more than 100,000 merchants directly through the app. The bigger picture is what comes next. HSBC plans to integrate RedCoin into its mobile banking app later this year, allowing customers to access tokenized investment products, including a new share class of an existing HKD money market fund. Meanwhile, Hong Kong is accelerating its stablecoin ambitions. HSBC and Standard Chartered backed Anchorpoint received the city’s first stablecoin issuance licenses in April, with Anchorpoint introducing its HKDAP token in August. The strategy is clear: bring stablecoins into platforms people already use, reduce friction and connect digital payments with traditional banking and investments. Stablecoins are moving beyond crypto trading. They are becoming part of the financial infrastructure.

Web3 growth is not just about technology. It’s about the people who bring an ecosystem to life. @0xhazels is exploring this idea by connecting social influence, creator campaigns, and community participation. What interests me most is the potential to make creator contributions more measurable and meaningful. Because in the long run, visibility can attract attention but real value comes from the community that stays, contributes, and grows with the project. The next step for Web3 is building ecosystems where creators and communities grow together.

Crypto is under pressure today. bitcoin:native dropped below $82K, giving back its recent move toward $84.8K as mixed earnings from Tesla and Meta reignited concerns over AI spending. The risk off sentiment is spreading across markets: 🔹Nasdaq 100 futures: -1.32% 🔸Hang Seng: down over 3% 🔹Kospi: -3.5% 🔸Nikkei 225: -2.7% 🔹ETH: around $2,400 🔸DeFi index: -5.6% Altcoins are taking a harder hit than BTC, with traders cutting exposure across several major tokens. Derivatives data tells an interesting story: Open interest is falling, liquidations are rising and market sell orders are dominating. This looks more like position unwinding than aggressive new capital entering the market. Meanwhile, capital is rotating into commodities, while XMR stands out among crypto assets with a 4.9% gain. Despite the sell off, spot BTC ETFs attracted over $1B during the first three days of the week. The key question now: Is this a temporary risk off correction, or the beginning of a deeper deleveraging across crypto? Watch BTC’s reaction around $82K and whether buyers step in before the next move.
