*BREAKING: US Court Blocks Discovery Attempt Against President Tinubu in FOIA Suit* WASHINGTON, D.C. — A United States District Court for the District of Columbia has delivered a significant procedural ruling in the ongoing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) litigation involving federal agencies, rejecting an attempt by plaintiff Aaron Greenspan to secure limited discovery from Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and political consulting firm DCI Group. In the October 30 ruling, the court determined that Greenspan’s requested discovery—which centered on alleged cyberattacks against his website—was not sufficiently relevant to the core legal issues of the FOIA dispute, which primarily concerns record requests made to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). Alongside blocking the discovery motion against President Tinubu and DCI Group, the court turned down Greenspan’s motion for summary judgment and dismissed a separate request by nonparty Karl Von Batten to file an amicus curiae (friend-of-the-court) brief, as well as Greenspan’s accompanying motion for judicial notice. Addressing the outcome, attorney Christopher W. Carmichael noted that the decision reinforces the necessity of keeping the proceeding strictly tied to its primary legal scope, stating that the court made clear this FOIA litigation cannot be used to pursue unrelated matters. Echoing these sentiments, attorney Oluwole Afolabi highlighted that while the underlying FOIA claims remain before the court, these rulings establish important procedural boundaries and clarify which issues are appropriate for consideration as the case moves forward. @PBATMediaCentre @officialABAT @AyoOyalowo @BBCWorld @TheANNAfrica

Comrades, let us be clear: standing with Imran U. Wakili (@IU_Wakilii) is not about asking for special treatment. It is about standing for fairness, justice and the fundamental rights of every citizen. Imran is our brother, a loyal member of the El-Rufai Camp, and he deserves the same protection under the law as every other Nigerian. The questions surrounding his continued detention cannot simply be wished away. The vehicle reportedly at the centre of the allegation has been released, and his younger brother is said to be out of detention, yet Imran reportedly remains in custody after voluntarily presenting himself to the authorities. What exactly justifies his continued detention? What are the authorities investigating, and why have these concerns not been clearly addressed? We are not here to speculate or pronounce anyone guilty. We are demanding transparency, due process and equal treatment. If there is an allegation, let the evidence speak. If there is a lawful basis for detention, let it be made clear. No citizen should be made to feel that their association, loyalty or political convictions can determine how the law treats them. To Imran, wherever you are, remember that you are not standing alone. Your comrades have not forgotten you. Your name will not disappear from our conversations, and our concern for your safety and rights will not fade. We stand with you and your family, and we will continue to ask the questions that deserve answers. Our loyalty is not a licence to break the law, and our demand for justice is not an attack on the law. We stand for a country where the law protects everyone, not just the powerful. FREE IMRAN WAKILI. RESPECT HIS RIGHTS. LET JUSTICE PREVAIL.

Imran was arrested three days ago, and till today, we still don’t know his whereabouts. This is absolutely unacceptable and a clear violation of his fundamental rights. We demand that the authorities disclose where he is being held and ensure his immediate access to his family and legal representatives. No one is above the law, and no one should be subjected to enforced disappearance. #FreeImran

For those suggesting that Imran Wakili’s @IU_Wakilii arrest is connected to the alleged purchase of a stolen vehicle, I believe it is important to put the circumstances into proper perspective. The vehicle in question had reportedly been in Imran’s possession and use for approximately two years, having previously been used by his brother for nearly three years. This timeline raises legitimate questions about the circumstances surrounding the allegation and deserves to be properly considered. I have also come across claims that his statement has already been read. I would caution against presenting such claims as established facts without credible confirmation. Furthermore, I understand that the vehicle has since been released and that his brother is also no longer in detention. Imran, however, reportedly remains in custody despite having voluntarily presented himself to the authorities. These developments raise important questions: If the vehicle was central to the investigation, what explains its release while Imran remains in detention? What specific grounds justify his continued detention, and are the appropriate legal procedures being followed? I am not in a position to determine the motives behind the authorities’ actions. However, the circumstances surrounding his continued detention understandably raise concerns about the possibility of political interference. Imran deserves due process, equal treatment under the law, and the protection of his fundamental rights. Allegations should be investigated fairly, not used as a basis for conclusions before the facts have been established. Justice must not only be done; it must also be seen to be done.

The injustice against our leader and his followers is profound. His offence in their eyes, is choosing truth over the betrayal of the people's trust. Yet our conviction remains unshaken and our hope undiminished. By God grace brighter days lie ahead. Free @elrufai @IU_Wakilii

Ohhh i didn’t kno thats where Shekau and Bin Laden graduated from. Thanks for this knowledge. Make we all know that we will answer to our claims on Yaumal Qiyama🙏🏾
When Saudi Arabia found oil they set aside 100 Billion dollars to spread their wahabi ( salafism) version of Islam across the world . They started with humanitarianism building mosques mostly and giving scholarships to come to Madina university where doctrines were changed and after graduation they become agents in different parts of the world. The result is ISIS, Alqaeda, Boko Haram, Alshabab, Lakurawa etc. @grok

Comrade @sector00007, you are truly a political genius! You bring immense value to analytical discussions, consistently backing your arguments with empirical evidence and a brilliant application of both deductive and inductive reasoning. I’m proud to have you in the ADC, not just for 2027 but well beyond. The political future of our country lies in the hands of dynamic young people like you—individuals with a strong sense of environmental awareness, political consciousness, and emotional intelligence. The future is indeed bright!
‘Tinubu is Campaign Stunned, While Obi is Campaign Paranoid’ Within a week, two notable presidential campaign flag-off events occurred that indicates a heightened panic level across the incumbent and third-party candidates for the 2027 presidential election First is an unexpected low-energy, low-turnout, low-momentum APC presidential campaign flag-off in Kaduna state that left @officialABAT embarrassed. That campaign was so abysmal, with error ladened submissions ranging from the wrong contextual usage of the term ‘AI’ to sycophantic, god-level praises of Bola as the ‘tamer of the Atlantic’ to blatantly fabricated project delivery in NW region In short, everything in that programme seems forced, from the poor crowd size to the concocted projects. If the governor of the state promised to deliver, then he failed woefully, signalling the unpopularity of the president in a way that no money or rented crowd or manufactured infrastructure projects can buy. These incidents culminated with Bola’s interim abandonment of the campaign trail for a surprise tax-payers funded foreign trip to cool off and prevent a quick succession of such embarrassment Now, while Bola campaign was flopping due to grass root rejection in northern Nigeria, @PeterObi, suspecting the same fate awaits him decided to flag off his campaign rally in his native SE where he is guaranteed of notable crowd size. This is an insurance knowing that his supporters has been diminished since 2023, and without the national spread required to win a presidential election Peter knew for certain that if he attempts to campaign outside his native SE, it immediately brings his political vulnerability into the public glare which will demoralise his supporters and embolden his opponents. Note that a recent campaign rally his party conducted in FCT had only a handful of reluctant and disinterested supporters participating, even though this is a territory he won overwhelmingly in 2023. Seeing this failed FCT rally and the flopped Bola presidential flag-off got Peter paranoid, forcing him to re-route his campaign to Enugu state Either way, whatever technique Bola and Peter decides to apply to conceal their lack of political popularity and inelectability in the 2027 presidential polls, the inescapable truth will inevitably be presented to Nigerians with time. Summarily, both of them can run, but can’t hide the truth for so long. They can keep running from their political reality, but only live to ‘politically die’ another day

Imran Wakil and Sanusi are both in detention now. I’ve said it, and I’ll say it again Northerners are the easiest targets of oppression in this country.
Not only the DSS, even politicians see ordinary Northerners as easy targets. A governor jailed people for wearing Tinubu Must Go shirts, while someone is threatening a woman for criticizing him, even though Southerners have said far worse to him. Arewa is the oppressor’s heaven.

Why Imran and El-Rufai Youth Face Arrest: Our Refusal to Join the Arewa Movement for Lagos Kleptocrats and the Desperation of a Tyrannical Regime You are a very stupid, useless liar, and a shameless fool, Dabbs Akuya, jaki, Makaryaci How do you know it's not political? Taking his car and arresting his brother has nothing to do with either the car or his brother! They just want to get Imran for the sole reason that he refused to join those Arewa idiots doing PR for the Lagos kleptocrat and that evil party. He also refused to convince his fellow El-Rufai Youth brothers to do the job. They later reached out to us too the El-Rufai Live, El-Rufai Boys, and El-Rufai Girls movements. It pains them so much to see that even though some of us are not entirely happy with the current ADC issues and the lack of proper action regarding the detention of Malam, every single one of us has refused to support that failure. We might not be perfect, we might not be happy with the ADC, and we might be angry and frustrated, but no true El-Rufai supporter, Northwesterner, or Northeasterner who loves Nigeria and is patriotic will ever support a failed and tyrannical government. As Allah warns regarding corrupt and tyrannical leaders: "Indeed, Pharaoh tyrannized over the land and divided its people into factions, oppressing a group among them... Indeed, he was of the corrupters." — (Surah Al-Qasas 28:4) Seizing his car and detaining his younger brother are part of their dirty, unethical tactics to lure Imran to the police station. But I understand that people like you will defend these oppressors even ko uwarka suka kashe. The Quran strictly warns against aiding or leaning towards zalumci (oppression): "And do not incline toward those who do wrong, lest the Fire touch you, and you will have no protectors besides Allah, nor will you be helped." — (Surah Hud 11:113) "And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression." — (Surah Al-Ma'idah 5:2) Your whole life is built around lying for the government and collecting pennies for a job you are terrible at—yet it still hasn't changed your miserable life. Just remember how Allah will judge and treat oppressors and their shameless enablers: "And never think that Allah is unaware of what the wrongdoers do. He only delays them for a Day when eyes will stare in horror." — (Surah Ibrahim 14:42)

But the arrest has nothing to do with politics. According to the statement written by Imran and released by a colleague of his, it has to do with his car which the police is claiming to be a stolen vehicle. Like people get arrested virtually everyday by the police. Not everything is related to "political views" or political affiliation.
