Personal news: I have joined the UP coaching staff for the upcoming season. Probably won't be able to talk publicly about college basketball for the time being, but still. Thanks to everyone who helped me reach places I've only ever day dreamed about. #UPFight

Just had dinner at Helm. I no longer seek class solidarity and the rise of the proletariat. Henceforth, I will dedicate my life to the accumulation of wealth to be able to afford to do this again.

AJ Edu is so good, man. Having someone like that on the defensive end is such a game changer. Incredible body control, movement, size, and discipline. This team won't work without him.

Offense is spacing. Spacing is offense.

PH basketball has never seen a duo like AJ Edu and Kai Sotto. Kai Sotto is the best player to play for the team. AJ Edu is the best Filipino defender I've ever seen.

Iranian Janjan Felicilda is going off lmao

Every point has been on Kai Sotto so far. That's crazy.

Bro is the Human Slot Machine. Literal Mr. 50/50.

Rooting for Kevin Quiambao is kinda nice lmao

Kids gotta learn 🤷‍♀️

Are the Kai Sotto YouTubers on the Alex Eala train? Will there be a video called “Alex Eala pinakita kay Iga Swiatek kung sino ang TUNAY na SIGA sa Wimbledon” uploaded tonight?

I thought my love for tennis died when Roger Federer lost Wimbledon in 2019, but Pinoy Pride trumps all apparently. Alex Eala is doing something truly insane right now and it’s amazing to see.

Carl Tamayo:

This Gilas team is solid, but they really could have used Mr. Rere Madrid.

Wouldn’t be surprised if AJ Dybantsa isn’t the best player in this draft class.

Just give Justin Brownlee FMVP or call it the Brownlee Award. What he did this series is ridiculous. He averaged 37-9-5 on Prime Stephen Curry-level efficiency. At 38 years old, he scored 37% of his team's points with 2 games where he had at least 54% of their total points.

Batang Gilas U18 went undefeated at the FIBA Asia U18 SEABA Qualifiers 🇵🇭 Joaquin Tovera, a UP commit, led the way, dropping 21 points in the final and averaging 16.4 PPG, 3.6 RPG, 4.0 APG, and 3.0 SPG throughout the tournament. A great showing from the future Fighting Maroon.

Victor Wembanyama averaged 26.0 ppg, 11.2 rpg, 2.6 apg, 1.0 spg, and 3.6 bpg in his first Finals appearance at 22 years old. Spurs were +8 with him on in roughly 200 minutes, -20 with him on the bench in 40 minutes. He'll be back.

Scoring 45 out of your team's 94 points (48%!!!) in a Finals-clinching performance as a barely 6 foot tall guard in the NBA is one of the most impressive things I've seen. Jalen Brunson is insane.

Series reveals three problems Wemby needs to solve to get over the hump: 1. Stamina issues (performance decreases as the game goes along) 2. Unreliable in between game (tagging and making him catch the ball higher up the floor slows him down) 3. De'Aaron Fox

The Knicks are a testament to the importance of good roster building, coaching, and the power of friendship. There is no archetype in basketball that makes it "impossible" to win. You just need the right combination of players to do so.
