Always a pleasure!! 🙌🏼
Really excited to share a podcast I recorded with @Kate_Baker_MD @geoffreybuckle for HER2-amplified gastroesophageal cancer!
What makes it even more exciting is that a great new therapy mentioned in this podcast, tislelizumab + zanidatamab + chemotherapy, has now been approved by FDA as a first-line therapy. Given zanidatmab was shown to be superior to trastuzumab in this study, I'd use this new regimen for almost all 1L HER2-amplified advanced GEA.
Thanks @_backtableONC @AaronFrittsMD @jgong15 for invitation. It was a fun weekend at San Diego!

HER2-positive gastroesophageal cancer has more first-line options than ever and very few head-to-head answers. 🧬
Dr. Geoffrey Buckle (@geoffreybuckle) and Dr. Ronan Hsieh (@ronanhsieh) join Dr. Kate Baker (@Kate_Baker_MD) on first-line choice, oligoprogression, HERIZON-GEA-01, rebiopsy and lung toxicity on trastuzumab deruxtecan.

To add, one of my former @CedarsSinai post-docs, Dr. Muranaka, brilliantly reviewed in @Cancers_MDPI how Gln supplementation could be a viable alternative to the convention of Gln deprivation as an #anticancer strategy #metabolicintervention

The hardest decision in localized upper GI cancer is not how to operate. It is what happens in the four months before the operation.
Dr. Kate Baker (@Kate_Baker_MD) asks Dr. Dani Castillo (@DaniCastilloMD) and Dr. Alexandra Gangi (@AGangiMD) what they each need before a plan exists in esophageal, GEJ and gastric cancer, and where they still disagree. 📷
