Under Obamas reign the goal was for "Islamist" movements to be in power under Turkeys leadership. They encouraged the brotherhood in Egypt & Syria, Harakat Nahda in Tunisia, Al-Islah in Yemen. The aim was to prod the Muslim Ummah against the resistance axis and it was successful.
"It's very important to create a Sunni coalition that will be led by Turkey. "The major conflict in the Middle East is the Sunni-Shia conflict. If we are able to create this coalition, we will be able to face Iran." 🇮🇱 Ami Ayalon, Former Director of Shin Bet, 2012

The AnsarAllah have an open hand for everyone, even Saudi Arabia, but they wanted a situation in Yemen not dictated by the Saudis. The AnsarAllah started moving militarily and gained control over Sa’da and Umran when Mansur Hadi and other movements wanted to destroy them.

Saleh chose to renew his position through a coalition with the AnsarAllah. The main and strong power was the AnsarAllah, not Saleh. When differences happened between Saudi coalition and the UAE, each had different aims in Yemen.

The UAE had a stronger relation with Saleh, and they sought to use him against the AnsarAllah. This lead to Saleh being killed. Saleh was with the AnsarAllah because he cared about his position and wanted to renew it, and he does whatever is in his interests.

By September 2014, Ansarullah became so popular that the Yemeni state & army defected to the side of the Houthi revolution. In all countries that governments changed & the brotherhood came to power, the aim of the US was to undermine "Shia" Iran, by bolstering the "Salafi pole"

They wanted a Sunni-Shia sectarian conflict AnsarAllah had freedom in their areas. When Saleh lost his position he was pardoned, that is he wasn’t followed through with the corruption charges, because the situation was fragile in Yemen & since AnsarAllah were inherently strong.

When the Arab spring went to Yemen, there was a lot of resistance against Saleh. Obamas policy in the region was that the Islamist movements should be in power, through the leadership of Turkey. They encouraged the brotherhood in Egypt and Syria, Harakat Nahda in Tunisia.

He tried to divide Yemen into 6 pieces so he can separate the resource rich regions & small populations from the resource poor & larger populations. This was done to serve the interests of Saudi Arabia. They wanted the untapped wealth of Yemen to be controlled easily by Saudi.

In Yemen, they encouraged the brotherhood moment called Al-Islah, an opposition party on the streets calling for the downfall of Saleh. They did a settlement with Saudi Arabia and brought Mansur Hadi to power, a Saudi puppet.

The irony of calling the AnsarAllah 'rebels' is that they never actually took up arms against the Yemeni state, it was vice versa in 2004. The AnsarAllah were acting in line within the laws. It was not until the US government pressured Saleh, that he began cracking on AnsarAllah.

Before the revolution, Yemen was ruled by a government that responded to the people's policial movement with military force. The war against the Ansarullah was unpopular amongst the Yemeni people, they had to rely on Al-Qaeda militants to do the fighting.

When the AnsarAllah movement appeared, it was in line with the vision of the 1979 Islamic Revolution of Iran, advocating independence from the West. Saleh felt they posed a threat, they were a strong tribe & formed a large population of Zaidis, in places like Sa’da & Umran.

The AnsarAllah movement was weak, between 2004-2010. The government waged 6 wars to crush the movement but everytime they tried the Ansarullah got stronger. They had nothing and defended themselves through wars. Iran would give them support morally and through whatever means.

Who are the AnsarAllah? The national salvation government of Yemen in the capital San’a represents a coalition of political movements, notably the Ansarullah. The Yemeni National resistance led by Ansarullah is 100% comprised of Yemenis, whilst referred to as "Iranian backed."

One of the few Yemen politicians who had the courage to speak against the violent Al-Qaeda persecution of South Yemeni socialists was Hussain Al-Houthi, the founder of the Ansarullah. He was brutally murdered in 2004 by the Saleh regime on the orders of the US.

Saleh was claiming he was President & Saudi was acting on his behalf. 2 years later the Saudi’s placed him under house arrest. Until the Yemen socialist party had been crushed after the unification of North & South Yemen in 1990, the pro Saudi regime turned onto the AnsarAllah.

The US-Saudi Alliance helped the so called ‘legitimate government of Yemen’, with a fighting force comprised 83% of foreign mercenaries. Abdullah Saleh, President of this ‘legitimate government’ resigned from office before the war on Yemen began, then travelled to Saudi Arabia.

The dispatch of the first Iranian aircraft to Sana'a Airport, followed by the second Iranian aircraft after the Airport had been bombed, and its subsequent diversion to Hodeidah Airport as part of the Yemeni delegation to break the blockade on Yemen, was not coincidental. (1/16)

These developments could constitute a turning point in the course of the world and in the nature of the power balance within it. We may be facing the possibility of building a new world in which the power balance differs from that which prevailed during previous periods. (15/16)

In this new world, the Resistance Axis could play an active role. Accordingly, what began as steps to break the blockade on Yemen could extend beyond the borders of Yemen and the region, becoming part of a broader transformation in the global balance of power. (16/16)
