Los Angeles ❤️
We offer free tickets for first responders and those affected by wildfires
ALT Los Angeles - free tickets for first responders and those affected by wildfires
ALT Like the rest of the world, we have been devastated seeing the destruction caused by the wildfires in Los Angeles, a city we love and are so looking forward to performing in for the first time. We are offering free tickets to Gwyneth Goes Skiing at @elysiantheater (30 Jan- 2 Feb) to first responders and those affected by the wildfires. You can send us a DM here or email us through the link in our bio and we'll arrange it for you. Feel free to share with anyone it might be of use to. We appreciate theater or entertainment may not be at the forefront of your mind right now - but if two hours of silly escapism in the form of a show about Gwyneth Paltrow's ski trial can be of any help, then we shall provide. With much love - @awkwardprods

I'm touring Lynn Faces next year to venues confirmed pre-Fringe. I've managed to find funding to cover wages but because of the ongoing situation with Summerhall we're short of funds for rehearsal space. We need 2 weeks in London, can anyone help?

me getting ready to ruin the vibe by reminding everyone there is a 37% gender pay gap for theatre freelancers in the UK
ALT Image of actor Saoirse Ronan on the Graham Norton show getting ready to interrupt a group of male actors who are joking about “what they would do if they were attacked” (because women deal with this on a regular basis and it’s not a joke)

We’re delighted to announce a new production in 2025: MONUMENTAL. Edinburgh has more statues of animals than women in its centre centre, but not for long… These her-storical figures are manifesting their own monuments.
MONUMENTAL is funded by @Edinburgh_CC for #Edinburgh900

Inclusion, people. Inclusion. Not seeing over 30s as 'emerging' means penalising the working class, parents, carers, people who had to recover from trauma and couldn't be expressive until they had, career changers, to name a few. Amazing people are missing out on support
Another day, another scheme aimed at early-career playwrights with age criteria. There are MANY reasons why artist may be emerging later in life, let's understand that and uplift people who have experienced substantial barriers in their careers!
ALT Emerging and early career does not equal under 30. Talent does not have an age limit. But enforcing one adds to barriers experienced by people of marginalised genders, of the global majority, working-class and disabled people.

Sponsoring the next FemiFringe Guide is OPEN - a great opportunity to get in front of thousands at next year’s festival and support a small, unfunded, but recently award-nominated team 😉🤑

Might have something to do with the fact that Summerhall is one of the most expensive venues to hire. Meaning only established/funded companies can realistically afford to be there.
Then you look at the the funding landscape in Scotland - I’m really not surprised by this.
"During the 2022 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, @Summerhallery [...] hosted performances by 22 Scottish companies.
Last year, they had 12.
This year, they had just six."
